I’m very happy with this checker board set. The wood gives it a nice classic look and it feels much better than the cheaper plastic versions I’ve used before. The board feels sturdy and the playing pieces have a good weight to them. I bought this mainly for casual games with family and friends, and it has been enjoyable to use so far. The size is comfortable for gameplay and the board lays flat on the table without sliding around too much. I also like that it looks nice enough to leave out on display when not in use. Everything arrived in good condition with no missing pieces. Overall, this is a solid checker set for anyone looking for a traditional wooden board game that feels durable and well made.

Great old time game to teach the kids how to play.

Put this suckwr on a lazy Susan with some one who a dementia and its a good brain exercise. Recently did this with father he loves it I painted uv clear coat on the pieces so they can found at night or under the bed and he can take any where he loves itn I would make i would fins a way make the prices easier to find if under bed or something

I amit I contempated getting a run-of-the mill cardboard checkers set before purchasing this game for my young grandsons, ages 6 and 8. It is a little pricey. I am so glad I went with this wooden set for them to learn this classic game. It is very sturdy with a smooth finish and the paint is bright and detailed. I did put an extra coat of wax on the board and playing pieces because that is just me but not because it is not necessary. I particularly like the areas to store the checkers at each end. I enjoy watching the boys planning and plotting their strategies as they compete to win. It makes me smile when I hear them name their "team" and use soccer terms to discuss their moves. We just received this game recently and it has already become a favorite activity after dinner before they wind down in the evening.

Bought this for my mother-in-law she absolutely loves it. Very high-quality. Only knock is that it does not fold up and there aren’t extra checkers in case you lose one.

Great board game. My kids love it. not necessarily because it is wood though. Kids just just love being kids, any game made fun enough will be a hit. I like this because it looks like it will last long enough for me to create some memories.
