Durability is limited since they terminate in screw terminals so there is no strain relief, but I've sealed then with RTV and so far no issues. Generally these would be used it fixed wiring applications so the strain relief is probably not such a big deal for most users, but I'm salvaging systems with dead wall-wart supplies using oddball connectors, cutting off the connector and using these for "standard" 2.1mm replacement wall-warts.

I have a bunch of these I bought in past years and needed to stock up again so this seemed like a good deal.I thought that I never saw any difference in these as I had bought them over the years so probably only made them in one place.BUT these were 'rougher' in mating than any of the others I bought in the past. Not enough to make them unusable, but I have a note in my to-do list to check if they carry the same current.I have seen nothing to indicate they are not the same spec; it just seems that either the 'only' manufacturer had to reduce cost or there is someone making clones of the original product.Just something I noted.As far as I can tell they are probably functionally equivalent so if I get the current test done and it is same capacity, I will go to 5 stars.

You might consider using hot-glue or silicone glue or tape to insulate the attaching screws for safety. I use silicone grease on outdoor uses to waterproof them.

The mass production and low cost lend themselves to a few unusable pieces. Overall, I'm happy as the functional ones suited my purpose and the cost was attractive. Plan on getting extras to account for the bad ones.

great "fix it" for jacked up ends of 2.1mm power supplies and whatnot. If you play with electronics these are handy to be able to screw wires into and plug into your newly crafted toys.
