I love the watercolor journal paper. It accepts any medium I throw at it - watercolor, ink, acrylic paint pens and alcohol ink pens. The paper allows time to make watercolor corrections if you make a mistake - color is liftable. Paper is thick enough so nothing bleeds through and the notebook is so portable. I also love the pocket to carry reference photos and the template included. My favorite journal!

Love this watercolor journal! Its so sturdy, opens flat, has a elastic band to secure the book when shut, and is hardcover. The paper is 25% cotton and acid free. Has the same texture on both sides and can be painted on both sides with no bleed through. Minimal warping even with multiple layers of watercolor, and has an expandable back pocket. Also, the paper label can be used as a compass. I love the reusable packaging. I love to use the 5 x 8.5” as my plain air sketchbook. Perfect size to bring on the go.

I have not used the pages yet but my cover was shorn off on the edges, and there are imprints on the mole skin under the packaging. Not sure if this is an Amazon, supplier, or mail carrier issue, but I'm sad.

Bought another sketchbook that I’m now too anxious and self-conscious to draw in, so now it’s sitting on a pile of incomplete and empty sketchbooks. 5/5 I’ll probably do it again.

I’ve been searching for a sketchbook that would take paints and markers and not bleed through. This is so beautifully made and it’s the first sketchbook I’ve had (and I have tried so so many) that I can paint on the back of pages! I don’t leave many reviews and I feel moved to review this.

Paper isn't super heavyweight so you have to be careful with the amount of water, but I've really been enjoying using this sketchbook for watercolor and gouache studies. Will likely buy again once I'm done with this one :)

Although it isn't cotton watercolor paper, this works pretty well for watercolour, ink and gouache. The paper is heavy enough so their is no - or at least minimal warping depending on how much water you use and how many layers you paiint. The binding and covers are high quality and can go in and out of my bag over and over without damage.

Ik kreeg een tip dat dit blok erg goed zou zijn, dus ben het gaan proberen en inderdaad het zal mijn standaard worden vanaf nu, ideaal. Goede kwaliteit papier voor eigenlijk elk medium dat je wil gebruiken in een schetsboek.
