Great product and instructional tool
Wonderful, quality product and design. Everything was as expected and itโs a wonderful tool to teach the kids. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Itโs size was actually bigger than expected. It did not have missing parts and itโs money well spent.

Great Kit, Fun Construction!
This plastic model kit that is very detailed and takes some skill to assemble. It included a high priest, 3 priests, a jar of manna, Aaronโs budded staff, the ten commandments stone, 3 sheep, 8 stands, an ark of the covenant, 3 lambs, 2 cows, a bread table, the altar of incense, the lamp stand, 2 breads, the altar of burnt offering, and a tree. The Tabernacle is built using posts and several layers of fabric representing the actual coverings used. We used some flexstone spray paint to paint the base so it looked like the ground. We bought others paints (gold, brown, silver, etc) so we could paint the other pieces as nothing comes painted. Metallic bronze, metallic gold, metallic silver and also matte colors for the cattle, for the beards of the Levitical priests, metallic blue for the High Priest, and other colors. The ark that was included with the set was not very good so we bought the following off of ebay to use. It will have it's base removed and the "carrying handles" removed. The Ark of the Covenant Gold Plated Table Top Mini - 2" X 1.50" X 1.10" We filed off the handles and removed the base so that we could fit it in the Most Holy Place.

Tabernacle of God in the Wilderness (Model)
The Tabernacle Sanctuary and Court are scaled to the correct proportions, so it is an excellent teaching aid for purposes of showing the structures, priests, and animals in 3 dimensions. It is also a very good price (considering the detail of the structures, priests, and animals), and it is relatively easy to assemble, if all you want is a representation of the correct proportions of the Tabernacle, locations of the Sanctuary furnishings, and activities associated with worship in the Tabernacle Sanctuary and Court. However, since the basic structures which come with the model are yellow, while the priests and animals are white, it leaves a little bit to be desired, if you would like to show a more realistic impression with the various colors of the Tabernacle structures, furnishings, priestly robes, and animals. In order to give the Tabernacle structures, priests and animals a more realistic look, I connected with a friend of mine, who was experienced in painting models of various types. (If you donโt have model painting experience, there are also plenty of YouTube tutorials for this.) One thing that my friend and I discovered immediately was that many of the posts surrounding the courtyard needed to be filed, because some of them had rough connector edges, and they were difficult to place in the base of the model without filing the rough edges. The same was seen with the structures for the walls of the Sanctuary. Once the rough edges had been filed, all structures, furnishings, priests, and animals were painted to make them more realistic looking. Sand was also purchased separately for the ground, (since the tabernacle was in the desert). The sand was glued to the base. The base and the sand were then spray-painted to be a tan color, resembling sand in the desert, as can be seen in the pictures attached. The colors for the priestsโ and the high priestโs robes were chosen by referencing a chart regarding the tabernacle, produced by Rose Publishing. After that, the Tabernacle structures, courtyard, and models of people and animals were placed in position. At that point, all of these model pieces were glued in place, in order to make transportation of the model easier and more secure. The furnishings of the Holy Place were easy to put into position. On the other hand, the Ark of the Covenant was a bit difficult to place in the holy of holies, because of its size. Because the Ark was so small, it was easier to glue the mercy seat to the top of the Ark to keep it and its contents secure. (In order to be able to show details of the contents of the true Ark, I ended up purchasing a larger scale replica of the Ark to show in my classes in addition to showing the Tabernacle model.) Instead of using the rubber bands provided to secure the coverings over the Sanctuary, we used string that could be threaded and connected to the hooks. This made it easier to unhook one side of the Sanctuary coverings, in order to show class members how the Tabernacle would look, both with the coverings and without, thus being able to show the details of the furnishings and priests inside the sanctuary after people had already viewed the coverings in place. Of note, there was not enough room in the Holy of Holies to place both the Ark of the Covenant and the High Priest. You should be aware of this if you desire to show that activity of the High Priest for the Day of Atonement. Altogether, with painting, adding sand, and gluing the structures, furnishings, priests and animals in place to keep the model stable โ and by making the sanctuary coverings easily detachable โ this model has been exceptional in its realistic nature! Many people have been amazed at the detail and accuracy of the finished product. It has been a wonderful teaching aid! Very glad I purchased it!

Good kit - especially for classroom
Very good kit for use in classroom, either youth or adult. Relatively easy to assemble with good detail and instructions. Built this myself for use in my high school bible class at church. Having a physical visual aid like this helps the students understand. Would recommend it.

Tabernacle Model Kit
My boys (Ages 12-14) at church still like to pull this out of storage every time the tabernacle is mentioned in a lesson. We made this well over a year ago, maybe 2 years now. We had fun making it, and I think it is something they will not soon forget. It was well worth the money. However, everything is so small scale that I recommend purchasing a larger model of the Ark of the covenant so that your students get a better idea of the look and function of the Mercy Seat - which is what I did.

Glad I bought it, you will be too
I really liked this model kit. It is very detailed and pretty accurate. We are a homeschool family and we're going to build our own model but I quickly realized it was silly for me to try to work out all the details and scale it down on my own so I bought this kit. It was easy to put together and had the correct number of pieces (with a couple extra) in the box which I verified right away. It was easy for the kids to assemble. I helped because I enjoy that sort of thing, but the 10 and 9 year old could have done it alone. My 7 year old could have done it with some help. It took us only a couple of hours, with much Bible cross referencing. We will paint the characters and do some other minor detailing but it's pretty good as is. I like that it came with all the furniture and had lots of detailed accessories (tablets, Aaron's staff, jar of manna, show bread ,etc). The only complaints I have are: the mercy seat is not very attractive, it's strange looking and hard to even tell what it is. The ark of the covenant had a broken pole. I attempted to super glue it back on, but that didn't work. The 2 curtains for the holy place and the holy of holies and the screen for the courtyard are actually like a paper material which is just a bit of a let down and also that makes it a bit tough to attach. In all it was a good buy, a tad on the spendy side, but overall worth it.
