Superb piece of kit
Brilliant power supply for the money. As others have reported the fan comes on very quickly on constant current even at very low currents and is a little noisy but it's a minor point really. Also the supplied alligator plug leads are quite short, so I bought a new longer set and now use the originals with my multi-meter. This has been so useful in testing/diagnosing and repairing electronic items and projects. I should have got this years ago! If you're getting into electronics building or repairing this is a great first bench supply.

Good value but fan is very noisy
A flexible high output bench supply but fan is very noisy. It only runs when under load, but at a modest 19V 2A load it was running all of the time which was quite distracting while working on equipment nearby.

Neat and easy to use but output leads very short.
Good little unit but the provided lead with 4mm plugs on one end and croc-clips on the other is very short, only 50 cm.

Decent Bench Power Supply
Not used it much. Easy to set max current and voltage. Reasonable built. Fan comes on when on load. As described.

BANG
I plugged the unit into a standard UK mains socket and the digital readout came on. Everything seemed fine. I tuned the voltage knob to around 1.5v and set the Amps to a similarly low setting. I returned to my notes for around 1 minute and the unit let out a loud pop and seized to work? I have checked the fuse and its fine and I know the bang came from inside the unit as did a slightly acrid smell that you would associate with electrical equipment blowing. Please can anyone tell me what happened?

Mein Beitrag zum Umweltschutz-nicht jeder Akku ist für den Müll. Häufig sind in Akkupacks nur einzelne Zellen defekt und der Pack lässt sich reparieren. Für eine Firma lohnt es sich in der Regel nicht, da der Zeiteinsatz hoch ist. Für einen privaten Bastler schon eher. Rezension im Zusammenhang mit Punktschweißgerät! Ebenfalls top!
