Venum BJJ GI Challenger Single Weave Jacket

Excellent fit. The weave is durable an the stitching is a nice touch. The pants could use more padding at the knee but will work. The Gi is medium weight, not as light as the gameness pearl weaves but will still work in the summer time. The collar is thick, great for working from the guard position. The Gi will shrink a little in the wash and doesn't come with a belt so plan on purchasing one. I've rolled with it I am 6'3" 195lbs and it fits perfect on me. The logo and the stitching are just sick in my opinion.

great gi, but it came a lot smaller then expected... when they say pre-shrunk, they don't lie... so try to go a size or two bigger

I wish I could write two separate reviews; one for the top and one for the pants. The jacket is awesome! I get a lot of comments about how nice it is. It fits really well after shrinking it in the dryer a few times. It has held up under moderate use. Meaning I train in it 1-3 times per week. But the pants suck. They are super wide and short. They look like they were tailored for an obese Umpa Lumpa. I had to buy another pair of pants to go with the top.I am 5’11” 180lbs, with an average to slim build. I bought an A3. I would not recommend this as a first gi. I only bought this to add to my rotation. So I am happy with it. If you are looking for your first gi I would look at some of the lower cost options from Gameness, JJ Pro Gear, Ouano, On The Mat or Manto.

The A3 size is true to size. A lot of times you get Gis that are labeled one size but end up being something completely different. I'm glad that I went with Venum's Single Weave as they're a reputable company and so far its held up pretty well. If you're in the market for this item, look no further.The packing material was standard and it arrived unharmed. I hope I don't have to buy another one any time soon, but if I need to, I will certainly buy this one again!

Great top, very comfortable and stays in place. After 2 washings I suspected that pants might have shrank on me. Bought a second because I loved the top and conformed that the pants (size A2) did indeed shrink on me. At least by 3".If you're on a budget remember that you might have to buy a different brand pant if that will be a problem for you. Not recommended for a first time buyer

The pants are a little small of an A3 but still workable. It is made of very durable construction and I hope to get a lot of life out of it. I wish they had used a different font on the back, it is a little hard to read.

The gi itself is made well, looks great, and it came when it was supposed to.I am 5'11 165 and the A2 pants run short on me while rolling. They feel ok until they are rolled up to my knees. Not the biggest deal but I have another gi by someone else in A3 and it fits much better. Also, wish the waist band was rope and not draw string.
