Very nice packing by the vendor/maker, styrafoam all around it. Amazon's packing wasn't that great, just shoved a little crumpled paper in the outer box. It got here in perfect shape tho. The box looks very nice, cool wood, glossy polished inside and out. The hinges are partly hidden giving it an additional quality feel. Im going to order another one. Worth the bucks.

This keepsake box is absolutely beautiful. It is solid wood which has been finished to a high gloss. It's very well made, hinges are secure, and no gaps or misalignment when the top is closed. And it has a good weight for it's size. There is no lining inside but it's not needed because the wood is very smooth. For a medium size box the storage capacity is good. The price is excellent for such a high quality product and it looks much more expensive than what it costs. I highly recommend this product and would definitely buy it again.

I bought the medium to put on top of my regular sized jewelry box to hold the pieces I wear most frequently. I was worried about the smell, the grain, the hinges, and if it would be sticky as one review mentioned. The one I received is beautiful. The hinges are fine and it isn't sticky or tacky at all. It has a slight smell, almost a combination of cedar and eucalyptus. I expected this as burlwood has an odor, as most natural wood does. I am VERY sensitive to smells, but this one doesn't bother me. Just be aware that burlwood does have a distinctive scent. Also pay attention to the dimensions. Mine is exactly as I expected the size to be, so I am completely satisfied, but I clearly read the measurements before purchasing. Based on the one I received, I would highly recommend these, and they would make a great gift or a holder for a gift of jewelry or a watch. I placed a couple bracelets and a key fob inside for scale. I have a small collection of little boxes and am thinking about purchasing the smallest size to hold a ring or two or earrings.

Nice little box with very nice finish. No lining and no latch. I don't believe actually hand made. There had to be some machine used to get such tight joints.

Birthday gift for nephew's chains, wallet etc. Beautiful box, nice colour and finish. Would order larger next time, but love it nonetheless.

This was a gift for my mother for her 84th birthday. She keeps a few sentimental items in it on her dresser where she can see it and admire it when she gets up and goes to bed. Thanks!
