How do I turn this off? I just take out the battery when I'm done so it doesn't die, but for the love of god please tell me how to power this off

can I get a manual for this timer? Where?

1.	To set the clock:
•	Push the button on the back to the far left for CLOCK SET.
•	Press the ENTER button. Go through the different options:
•	12/24 Hour:  12HR will flash. Press ENTER to choose 12 hour (or press HR to choose 24HR), and it goes to the HOUR setting, which then flashes.
•	Use the HR /+ to select the hour. Each press will increase the time by one hour.  When done, press ENTER, and it goes to the MIN setting, which then flashes.
•	Use the MIN / - to select the minutes.  Each press will decrease the time by one minute. When done, press ENTER. 
•	The next selection will be the year (final two digits only).  Press HR to increase the year or MIN to decrease it.  When done, press ENTER.
•	The next two selections will be the month and day.  Press HR to increase the month or MIN to decrease it, and press ENTER to go to the day.  Press HR to increase the day or MIN to decrease it, and press ENTER.

2.	To set the timer:
•	Push the button on the back to the middle for TIMER.
•	Press TIMER 1 to set the first timer; TIMER 1 will flash in small letters at the top.).
•	When done, press ENTER and the timer will start counting down the time.  Press ENTER at any time to stop the countdown, and press ENTER again to restart it.
•	When the timer goes off, press ENTER to stop the alarm.
•	To reset the timer to 00:00, press the HR / + and MIN / - buttons simultaneously.
•	To set TIMER 2, follow the same steps as above, beginning with TIMER 2.

What battery does it use?  I can't read what is written on it.  Both of mine died tonight and I love this timer.

I won't tell you that I understand the numbers on batteries, but when I last ordered a button battery for a different product, I was told that batteries now are in some cases replacing multiple "old" numbers.  So a new battery might be good to replace 5 or 6 different original numbers.  I trusted what I was told, and ordered batteries that were listed as the new number, and the new batteries work fine on 3 different products that were on that original list.  In my case, all 3 of my products had very different original numbers on the back.  They are available on Amazon, at a low cost, and by multiple manufacturers.  I haven't had to replace batteries in either of my timers, but I will use the batteries that showed up in my search.  The battery you currently have says "LR44G  GOLDEN POWER  0%Hg" on the back.  The search I did lists multiple brands showing LR44 (without the G), so that is what I will order for my OWN timers when MY batteries need replacing.  I hope this works for you.

How do you reset the timer? I’ve followed the directions, but the numbers don’t go to 00:00

Sure, glad to.  I use mine frequently.  First check to see if Timer 1 or Timer 2 is being used.  Then press and hold for second or two both the HR/+ and the MIN/- buttons.  The selected Timer should return to 0:00.
