can these be finger blended in the same way as chalk pastels?

Yes they can . They are a different texture to chalk pastels . I use all sorts of brands of oil pastels. The sennelier ones are by far the most creamy and soft it's like painting with lipstick . I also use silicone blenders - the type like a paintbrush with a silicone pointy or square tip . I hope this helps.

Are these full size? I notice someone in the reviews says they are very small and product info says “introduction...”

These are normal size. You can get very large ones but limit colours.

Can you tell me if these pastels contain any animal derived ingredients? I cant find any info anywhere about this brands ingredients at all

Hi as far as I am aware there aren't any animal products in these pastels they are pigment and linseed oil, I think. On YouTube there is a shirt video in which the owner shows you how they are made just pop sennelier into the search bar. Hope this helps 😊 p.s they are amazing.
