desertcart.com : Princes Rhubarb in Light Syrup (540g) - Pack of 2 : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Makes a great pie (ps - the color is normal!) - I’ve seen several complaints about how it looks coming out of the can (tan/gray in color) and after some research, found that it’s perfectly normal. The heat of the canning process does something to the pigment, so if you want a nice pink pie, plan to add some strawberry’s, food coloring or cranberry juice. With that said, we made a rhubarb pie (added some strawberries), adjusted for the softness (that happens to all canned fruits or vegetables) and it came out great! Review: VERY DISAPPOINTED - Dissapointing....this product was very expensive and nothing to brag about. The rheubarb was very mushy and VERY LITTLE OF IT JUST lots of syrrup.

canned Rhubard
I had never bought canned rhubarb before, so maybe it is all like this. There wasn't any fresh rhubarb available in the area that I could find at this time of year. But when this canned rhubarb was baked into a strawberry-rhubarb pie, it tasted great, but it disintegrated into the consistency of apple sauce.

Yum
Great for recipes when you can’t find fresh.

Lost a lot draining the syrup
It was so mushy and soft that I lost more rhubarb out of these cans than I lose tuna draining the liquid. Even then, had to stop before it was drained properly because I was losing too much.

If you can’t get fresh rhubarb
I never bought canned rhubarb before, never had to in Michigan. I had to make a rhubarb pie for my granddaughter, and I was in Alabama. This rhubarb tasted fine.

Don’t waste your money
Very expensive but quality was not worth it, didn’t taste like real rhubarb.

Prince's rhubarb makes a very good pie crumble, and it's a very good price too

The product itself was exactly as expected from previous last purchased elsewhere. Chunky pieces of rhubarb in light sryup. Ideal for cooking or served as it is. HOWEVER, due to the cost £5.00 per item I will look elsewhere for future purchases. Also I don't think it should be advertised as 'Sugar fix', rhubarb is a healthy option but it a sour taste I use artificial sweetener with mine.

They’ve got a very short sale by date May 2024 I would’ve thought they would’ve had a longer sell by date considering they were £4.10. I haven’t used them yet so I’m hoping when I open them but the rhubarb is alright inside as the day is so short
