Death Wobble fixed!!!!
Had the dreaded "Death Wobble" after just 44,000 miles so I replaced the stock track bar bolts with the 9/16 grade 8 bolts then purchased this steering stabilizer and the problem is solved. It comes with extra hardware but all I had to do was take the old bushing out of one side of old stabilizer and use it on the new one and reused all the old hardware. Took about ten minutes to install using that method. Not sure how you could use the hardware they supplied. Old hardware worked great and was tight with no play. If you ever experienced the "Death Wobble" you will want to use this along with bolt modification.

Rancho RS5407 RS5000 Series Steering Stabilizer
I drive a lifted Jeep Wrangler. There are instances of a unique experience known as the death wobble for vehicles like this. I had never felt them before so I was not too excited when I started too. I took it to a trusted mechanic who confirmed that everything looked good with the exception of a tie rod that looked iffy and the steering stabilizer that had a shot bushing. I decided to get the tie rod and this stabilizer to resolve it. While I have not replaced the tie rod yet, I did install this and the results were immediate! The experience of driving my Jeep returned to normal. The vehicle had its steady feel and the bumps that use to make the steering wheel a terror to hold on too were gone. I highly recommend using this shock for your next SS replacement upgrade. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Simple but works good.
You can feel how much smoother it is to turn after replacing a 6+ year old stablizer that has no resistance. Looks nice, works great, cheap fix for a deathwobble or someone looking to add some look and performance top their jeep. Do yourself a favor and make sure that you have time to get the old stock one out cause they get stuck pretty bad. I recommend spraying the bolt farthermost to the right with some grease or wd40 a couple days before the project every couple hours for a few days to start and get that grease in the joint. On the day, get a torch and heat it up for a bit with some fresh wd40 and get a pin hammer cover the bottom bit with a rag so you dont bend or streach out and hit it with that hammer it should pop out after a while depending on how bad yours is stuck, mine took like a half an hour of hammering before it popped out. Good luck and Enjoy, i love it

Great shocks,Paint them because they rust instantly
I used this for my Jeep Wrangler Tj and I functions just fine The paint job is horribly lacking it’s pretty much opaque but that is normal for ranchos They literally start to rust the minute they get wet I recommend that you scuff them up with a red scotchbrite pad ,it’s also good idea to sand the shock lightly around some of the welds because there are some very sharp edges that paint will not protect at all . clean them of with some prep all you may need to use some primer on any bare metal or similar then paint them with several light to medium coats of spray paint personally I like to paint them silver to look like the overpriced shocks everyone seems to have nowadays. Or simply apply several coats of black paint so they disappear Then when they do rust it blends in with the black and is far less noticeable than the white

It stabilizes steering
I purchased this because it was the cheapest one I could find and my stock stabilizer was shot. I am sure it is working, but honestly if your steering geometry is properly done there really is no reason for a stabilizer. So, I will say that the product looks great with no flaking of paint and the overall quality feels sturdy. Installation was easy using the included hardware and my Haynes manual. I chose not to use the boot as I have seen them collect more mud and debris than they keep out, but since it is made out of rubber I can only assume it would hold up for years if someone wished to use it.

Better than Bielstein!
I put a set of new shocks on the jeep about three years ago. Ride was getting a very rough so I bought these. Fit perfect and the ride is much much better. I expected better performance for my Bilsteins after three years in about 15,000 miles. These are like night and day compared to those.

Lousy seller.
My issue is with seller not the Shock itself. This is for a 2013 Wrangler JK, by the way, it says 2007 till 2009. But in reality it's from 2007 till 2018 will fit as well. My issue is not with the Shock, this is number billion I got from Rancho, they work just fine. My issue is with the seller. His description on top says the wrong thing, scroll down and you'll see the correct models. No where in the add It says : "USED, REFURBISHED, RETURN" This is shock is 100% used, Which I'm ok with that if you tell me so. I tested it and it's fine, but that was either dishonesty on the sellers behalf or bad quality control, either way this should not have happened. I'll be buying from Quadratech or another outlet from now on. The Irony is the seller is Rancho itself lol.

Exact Fit
Fit Right in. Steering feels much better now. In hindsight, and this is just personal preference, I would have picked a black Stabilizer instead of white and red which stands out too much for my taste as the Jeep is blacked out.
