Thick and Easy Purees

Understand this is food that has basically been masticated for you so the presentation doesn't factor in. It's thin enough for post surgery providing you do not eat it without letting it get to barely above room temperature. And tiny baby bites are key. Do not be aggressive on how quickly you start eating foods. This is a serious surgery and you do not want to disturb the healing process...knock off the scabs. Sorry for being "gross" but it is what it is. The flavour is surprising alright. Again, we aren't expecting a fine dining experience but something to fill my tummy.I just tried the "french toast with maple cinnamon". Need a bit of butter but was to much of a thick paste and stuck to the roof of my mouth and sides. Perhaps a bit of milk to thin it further?On the expensive side but it's only for a few weeks.Hope this review helps. Be blessed and be healed!!

My husband can't swallow well. These meals are good for what they are but my husband hates them. I think the taste is just like what it's supposed to be. I would eat it if I had dysphasia.

The product color could use a little enhancement. On the other hand, pick the box off the door step, place the meal container in a microwave and two minute later ypu are ready to eat even if you do not have a tooth in your head.

I have severe lockjaw to the point that I have not been able to open my mouth in almost 15 years( cancer treatments). I have to puree my food before I can eat it. Well I came across this, and I was hesitant about getting them because other puréed foods are so bland in flavor. However, this brand has flavor that actually takes like a meal. I did have to purée it a bit more, only because the food has to slide through my teeth( texture like baby food), but I am highly recommending this product.

UNABLE to give 0 stars. I ordered these Hormel pureed Roasted Turkey meals for my 97 y/o MIL who lives with us and is bedridden. I have ordered these meals before from another seller and they were fine. These were miscolored, dark and smelled like Dogfood. I opened another to see if this was a random one gone bad, it was the same. I now see they are not eligible for return. Exp date on meals is 12/11/ 24 but these have gone Bad possibly from mishandling?

Got this for my mom. She hated it. I tasted it and it was nasty. It would be better to get puree food that wasn't all mixed together. The taste of the stuffing is what is yucky I think. Either way, I invested in a little food chopper that works great to grind up her food, I can add gravy to make it moist, and i can separate the meat from the vegetables from the other items.

My disabled daughter can only have this. Roasted chicken, French toast is the best. Don't care for the other varieties.

Although this product may meet the consistency and texture requirements for the patient, the taste makes it all most untenable.
