Big Breyer Fan
I have collected Breyer horses for the majority of my life. When I came across this kit I had to purchase it. My 13 year old and I had a wonderful time painting the horses. The paint is thin because it is made for transparency and takes a little bit to dry. Not for the impatient artist, you will get better results layering and drying between coats. We did our first coat and let them sit for a week since the paint was still tacky after a week. The blues and greens were our favorite colors from the set. I recommend for the little artist who understands taking time between coats for best results!

Love this! Beautiful and fun!
My 7 y/o daughter LOVES this. She is very into horses, especially Bryer horses so we got her this for Christmas. It was so much fun to paint them and they turned out so beautiful when said and done. The paint is very light and requires multiple coats to make them look like they do in the picture. My daughter was too impatient to paint a second coat so I painted them more when she went to bed. They dried well overnight and were ready to play with. I would highly suggest this for any kids (or adults) who love horses or crafts (or both)! It makes a beautiful and unique gift as well!

Horses 5”-3”, paint is permanent, cute set of horses!
My daughters were really excited for this little paint set! The first thing I would like to add is this is absolutely permanent paint. I looked around the package to see if it said that anywhere and it didn’t. That makes sense considering the horses are plastic, but it would have been better to know so I could protect my table :) It comes with three horses. Two adult ones, one baby horse. The horses are very small, about 5 inches, the baby one around 3. The paint works excellent, and while it doesn’t wash off, my daughter did scratch off the paint from the bourse to change the color lol! The baby horse is difficult to stand up and stay up, so if you have a child who gets frustrated with that keep that in mind! The adult horses seem to stand pretty well. The brushes it comes with are soft which makes it easy to do some detail like spots and eyes.

Breyer Stablemates Painting Kit
This kit is great. It comes with three Stablemates horses, which are three to four inches tall and 1:32 scale. It includes three "Horsey Colors", which are white, black, and brown. The paint seems thin in the package, but once you start putting it on the horse it works out better than it would if it were thick because it barely shows brush marks. It took me two coats to cover the foal, with lots of paint to spare. I didn't use much of the paint it came with because I have my own acrylic paint, but I'm sure if I'd used it there would have been more than enough. It mixed easily, and thin coats took about ten minutes to dry completely. The package the paint is in is hard to open, but it doesn't squirt out hard. The included paintbrush was warped and the wood was dried out and splintery; and the end was crunchy when I got it, so I'd recommend buying an extra paintbrush with this. The horses had a couple of imperfections in the plastic where there were little pieces sticking off, but I could easily pull it off. One of the horses (the grey model shown on the right of the picture) had a relatively deep scratch on its left side. I was able to cover it up with paint, but it is still there. The best horse in the set is definitely the one shown on the left (the black and white one in the picture) because it has the most detail. The foal was pretty easy to paint, but it was hard to get in between his neck and chest. The instruction booklet tells you about a few different colors of horses, but it does not show you how to paint them. There is, however, a diagram that shows shading and highlights, which is VERY helpful. I would not recommend this product for beginners, since the horses are very small and detailed. If you have some experience painting model horses you will most likely love this set, but I would recommend a Classics or Paddock Pals size horse to paint if you're a beginner. Overall the set was very good for the $8 paid, and I would recommend it to anyone with some experience painting model horses.

would recommend to anyone
Gave it as a gift to my neighbor(11) and she had the best time ever painting it and it turned out so good. i was afraid they were going to be cheap plastic or very breakable and they are PERFECT!!! it’s not plastic but if dropped once on soft ground i have no doubt it would be fine! the paint isn’t like cheap paint that clumps up and apply’s very smoothly! And the nice paintbrushes are an amazing touch.

Fun for kids!
My kids were 4 (girl) and 6 (boy) when we got these, they Really enjoyed painting these horses! We had to do it in stages so one side could dry so we had somewhere to hold onto. Super fun. The 2 bigger horses are roughly 2 and a half inches tall, the foal is about 1 and a half inches tall. So sounds small, but my kids didn't have any problems painting. I used some other acrylic colors i had on hand to give my kids more color choices. (Egg cartons make good paint pots. The paint has stayed on well over time. I took pictures of them next to some schleich horses for a size reference.

Quality from Breyer
My 9 year old daughter loves to customize her Breyers and has completed 2 other Paint Your Own Kits and loves doing them every time!! The horses are made of sturdy ceramic that is not easily broken. They are just the right size for little hands at about 6-7 inches tall. The paint colors are vibrant and good consistency for coverage. The containers are small at about 1inch tall by 1 inch in diameter, but have been sufficient for what my daughter wanted to accomplish. They are acrylic but seem to wash up easily, although haven't had to wash them out of clothing....yet:)

Great set!
I bought this for my six year old daughter for her Birthday. She loved it! She had seen a video on YouTube where Myfroggystuff demonstrated how to use the set. She had a blast painting all the figures! The instructions detail what you need like a cup of water, paper towels, etc. The paint brush is included and the paints are of good quality. This is definitely giftable!

I absolutely love this set. I painted them all and had no issues, except for the brush. It got really frazzled after the third one..but that's ok, there really is no sense in having a high detail brush for a set like this.

Brilliant. Both the 4 and 7 year old loved this and the end result is really beautiful!
