I agree with the author that this is the best book to learn Kanji EVER! Admittedly I am not learning kanji from zero at this point but rather using this book as a review. However I have young team members preparing to join me and I will definitely insist that they learn not only Kanji, but Kana and Japanese using George Trombley's books. George's YouTube videos where he actually teaches the book are an added bonus. This book makes me want to devour kanji learning and I am anxious to know how I can purchase book two and progress with learning new kanji from the methods used in this book. With KANJI FROM ZERO! learning kanji is easy! Thank you to the entire From Zero team.

Nice book for learning Kanji as it has all the elements necessary to help you memorise these tough characters. My only gripe would be that there are not enough practice sentences for each kanji. I'd like more of those. other than that, a great resource.

This book was specifically designed for beginners in Japanese and particularly in learning Kanji. With that in mind, I purchased the book to see how good a resource it really was. And I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it's really everything anyone needs to get started in their kanji-learning journey. Complete with learning games, exercises, activities, usage points, culture notes, quizzes, reviews, and more, this book is a self-learner's dream! All of the answers for each exercise are included, which makes it even better for those out there who like to self-check their work. My level is way above that presented in this book, but after looking through every lesson carefully, I'd recommend this to any beginner/intermediate Japanese language learner who needs a good start when learning kanji. The example sentences and words are simple and there's plenty of vocabulary! Highly recommend this book!!
