The new Atlas DCA 75 PRO Transistor tester offers unrivaled functionality and style. The analysis portfolio is bigger than even the DCA55, offering enhanced message display and intelligent component identification. This superb instrument displays incredibly detailed information in scrollable pages. The Atlas combines an impressive analysis portfolio with unequaled ease of use. Connect your component any way round and let the Atlas do the rest. It will measure the gain of transistors, the threshold voltage of MOSFETs, and semiconductor voltage drops. This product has additional component testing capability than the DCA55, but also offers full curve tracking which is downloadable to a MS excel via a USB cable. This allow more in depth analysis of components than was possible before. Supplied fully assembled, tested and aligned with a factory warranty this is an indispensable piece of test equipment for a system designer or product technician, we use one in our store all the time to measure transistors and diodes.

Why didn't I buy this one a long time ago!
WOW! Now this is a nice tester! All I have to do is connect the clips (in any order) and push test and it figures out the connections, what the component is, and if it's good or not. I also lets you dig into the specific values of the device so you can make a determination if the component is performing to spec. Totally worth the money! As they say in the manual, it won't handle in-circuit evals if there are capacitors attached. I wouldn't want to damage the unit or have the results skewed, so I desolder the components (with my new Hakko desoldering station) and use this device to test my components (mostly IGBT's at the moment).

You won't realize how much you need it until you get it!
Excellent for evaluating components! So many capabilities that I've only just scratched the surface of what it can do; you can find testers in the $20-$40 range that advertise being able to perform similar component testing, and to a certain extent they do provide useful information, but nothing like this tester. It's well made and very accurate, plus it provides a wealth if useful information that others don't, particularly for various transistors, which is why I got it.It's quite expensive compared to much of its competition on Amazon and elsewhere, so for just casual diy stuff, you can probably find something that will do the job for significantly less. But if you want a tool that can meet your needs as you tackle increasingly complicated projects, this is what you want!I used it to match transistors for a vintage power amplifier I was restoring and it performed flawlessly and saved me lots of work; yes, there are more accurate ways to match (MOSFET's in my case) transistors, but for most users this will easily be good enough.I have a number of the cheap testers, because I always balked at paying the price for this one, but I wish I'd just bitten the bullet and gotten this in the first place, it would've been more reliable and saved me time and money in the long run. So, if you do a lot of diy electronics stuff, this tester should be on your short list.

A Great All in One Transistor Tester with Curve Tracing too !
This is a versatile semi conductor low voltage tester. It recognises JFETs, MOSFETS, BJTS, Diodes, LEDs etc etc. Just connect the 3 flying leads any way round and it will do the job. The basic static tests are useful for matching devices but the icing on the cake is the curve plotting facility which accurately characterizes individual devices for accurate circuit design. Curves are lotted with the provided software for immediate display however itโs also possible to export the transistor data into EXCEL for more detailed analysis and comparison between devices. The only limitation is that it only characterizes between 10mA and 12v which is good for low power devices. It will not do full characterisation of power devices. The provided software is PC compatible but will not run on a Mac even in virtual PC mode. Still a great product for what it does !

Absolutely awesome
I almost didn't buy this due to the price, but I'm so thankful that I did. It has already saved me at work. I was troubleshooting a circuit and wasn't sure which zener diode was faulty as there was more than one in the circuit. This device made it very clear as to which one it was. It does a lot more and can be hooked up to a computer to graph similar to the curve tracers on an oscilloscope, only better.

Peak component testers are amazing
There are some very cheap component testers available from overseas, and I have several of them on my bench. However, all of mine gave a thumbs up to some 25 year old (unknown marking) transistors that (despite testing OK out of circuit) seemed to be the only possible cause for a failing automobile module. Peak has a well-deserved reputation for the quality of their test equipment, and this unit was no exception: it correctly identified the problem components and put me back on the road.
