A little background: I was getting bitten by something at night, but wasn't 100% sure what it was. I searched my mattress and box spring for signs of bed bugs, thinking they might be the culprit. I never saw a single bug. Just a couple days later, after being bitten more and more every night, I lifted the entire mattress and did an extremely thorough search. I saw tiny dots of blood stains on the box spring (gross!). I immediately bought this product and the mattress cover, and had them both delivered the same day. I did a thorough cleaning of the area around my bed, and followed all the instructions for getting rid of bed bugs (search online for tips and suggestions). Product Review: I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get this on my Cal King bed by myself. (Female, 5'2", 130 lbs.) But I did it! You have to completely move your mattress out of the way. I slid mine off to one side and leaned it up against the bedroom wall. The box spring cover for Cal King was easy to slip on and zip up. It fit perfectly, but not too snug. For this bed size, there are actually two smaller box springs that add up to the Cal King size. I put one on and zipped it up, moved the covered box spring over to the side, vacuumed under the bed, then repeated with the second box spring on the other side. The material is a lot softer than I thought it would be. It's waterproof, so I thought it would have a thick plastic feel to it. It doesn't! It has a delicate, smooth, almost silky feeling. But it's not that delicate and won't tear or rip. I had to slide the box springs around a bit to get them back into place, and there wasn't any damage to the cover. We also bought the same brand mattress cover. I never saw signs of bugs on the mattress, but these bites are so itchy I wanted to be aggressive and be sure to get rid of them all. So far, we've had these on for just two days, and I haven't noticed any new bites! I'm going to put these covers on every bed in the house as a preventative measure.
