Here is the breakdown after crimping about 50 ends: The Good: Pass-Through is a Game Changer: If you aren't a pro doing this every day, getting the wires in the right order can be a headache. This tool works with "Pass-Through" connectors (where the wires poke out the front), and it trims them flush automatically when you crimp. It makes it nearly impossible to mess up the color order. Solid Build: It doesn't feel like a cheap plastic toy. It has a heavy steel frame and a smooth ratcheting action. Consistent: Every crimp I made tested perfect on my network tester. No loose pins. The One Thing to Watch Out (Read this!): The Stripper: The built-in cable stripper is very sharp. If you clamp down fully, you will nick the copper wires inside the cable. Fix: Practice on a scrap piece of wire first. You only need to rotate the tool once with very light pressure to score the jacket, then snap it off. Once you get the "feel" for it, it works great. Bottom Line: If you are an IT professional crimping 100 cables a day, maybe buy the ergonomic cushioned ones. But for wiring a house or making patch cables? Save your money and get this.
