These MREs are a cut above the rest. The food quality is higher, and the frameless is very fast and efficient. I had used the last of my MREs during the latest winter storm when the power went out and went ahead and ordered another case. They make you feel human again for sure. I’ll always keep a few of these around for the fam and neighbors.

Very Happy. Got the 2022 bulk 12 pack. Great menu choice, 1 pizza, 1 cheese tortellini, 2 Italian sausage, 2 beef strips in savory, 2 chicken salad, 2 vegetarian taco pasta, 2 chili with beans. I tried the Chicken Salad first. Happily, surprised how delicious and fresh tasting everything was. Heat bag, yes. No coffee in this meal. Came with grape drink mix that did not need any sugar. Blueberry cobble and oatmeal cookie, yes please. The expiration dates that I found after cyphering the overly complicated expiration date system they use were still good, 2024 -25 clearly marked on some items. A bit on the pricey side but not by too much. Would buy again, yes.

I ordered at 10:00 AM on a Friday. It showed up at my door before 15:30 on Saturday! Very fast. I am extremely pleased with that. There are 6 different menus/meals. You get 2 of each. Not a big problem but I am former USMC and am used to getting 12 different menus/meals in a case. I haven't tried them all yet. I purchased them for a Pike's Peak hike with my son. These will negate the need for a stove and cookware needed for most "Mountain Home" style camping foods. Water activated flameless heaters and eat it out of the pouch. He and I will let you know how it turns out. The only reason for 4/5 stars is that I was expecting 12 different meals. UPDATE: Meals were fine. Exactly as expected. A little bulkier and heavier than freeze dried foods. But again, no real need for pots, stoves, fuel etc.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend planning a car trip/move with the understanding that he would provide feedback on the experience. He seemed to quite enjoy most of the menus in the box. They were fresh, often surprisingly flavorful, and generally just a pleasant experience to consume as on-the-go meals. XMRE may be more expensive than some of the other "MRE" style shelf stable foods, but from my research and with the experiential results provided by my friend I'd have to believe you get what you pay for in this product segment.

I was pretty pleased. I got a case of 12 and it had 6 different meals(2 of each) so i like the variety there . I only ate one. No chickpeas lol. Got sunflower kernels. I got taco pasta, chicken noodle, chicken chunk, pizza, jalapeno pepper beef patty and creamy spinach fettuccini. Overall I got a great variety considering it's an mre and the freshness is the best. Will last till 2025 probably. I would absolutely recommend them. I got a heck of a deal too considering someone said they paid 200. I paid almost half that

Summery: if your buying this for emergency flat out yes but save it for a rainy day .camping or trips it’s a good idea just be ready to eat the same sides over and over again mine didn’t have any frh(heating element) so be ready to have a back up plan (boiling water ) The Good . The meals are fresh talking 80th day in 2020 fresh . It’s good for 5 years if stored right . They are Packed nicely just as a mre is packed The Bad . It’s the same sides over and over again chikpeas in every pack so far no frh(frameless ration heater) to be found not a good look eating cold beef goulash at least when I was deployed we had hot food so far the side have been chickpeas and cheese spread and crackers no desert option or snack like a real mil spec mre The Bad . So far (6packs in ) no ration heater to be found . And every side has been chickpeas . Also you have to go the their web site to check the best by date .

important to know this batch was missing the heaters . but fantastic customer service , investigated . provided partial refund and will send out heaters once they get some . especially during this pandemic they took care of me fast . very respectful staff and items itself was good . another note . its not like the military ones , only main meal and cookies while the military ones come with much more stuff in them .

A little expensive, and there are good ones and bass as far as taste goes. And I definitely have my favorites. I wish they’d offer more variety like at the parent company; but for buying of Amazon these are alright. PS definitely bring trash bags if camping there is a lot of material... not a complaint, just a fact.
