I needed to replace the flip flip top on my half gallon Coldest jug and it fit perfectly! This is my only water bottle brand.

I've been using my hydro flask bottle for several months and has been great. However, the regular cap that comes with the bottle makes a lot of noise when opening and closing. It is also a bit tough to drink out of when walking or doing anything active (it'll just spill everywhere). I was looking at the hydro flask sport cap and was turned off by the bad reviews of it leaking. I saw this "The Coldest Water" straw cap as a "frequently purchased" product and saw the good reviews. Decided to give it a try. As usual, amazon shipping is great and received it in 2 days. I received instructions from the seller on how to cut and insert the straw a day before so I had an idea what to expect. When I received it, i gave it a quick wash (please wash it because the rubber tip has a slight manufacture scent to it, which I expected). I cut the straw to size at an angle. The straw is soft enough to cut but hard enough to last. The package also came with 2 straws as well as a straw cleaner. I inserted the straw into the rubber straw holder on the cap and screw it on my bottle. Immediately, I tried the leak test by turning it upside down, shaking it, etc. No leaks. I've been using it for 2 days now and have not leaked on me. One major "bad" thing I noticed is the tip is a little tight to rotate out to start drinking. There is a little plastic platform where you can use your finger to push down but takes a bit of finesse. I wish there was a mechanism that would allow easier rotation as well as prevent touching the tip with your fingers. Some smaller things I found is there is a loud "suction" sound when you finish your sip but I assume this would be the case for any "suction/straw" caps. Also I noticed I need to suck a little harder when the bottle is full. I wouldn't remove 1-star from the cap from these "issues" though. Still a great cap so far.

Fits perfectly and the color we needed was a very good price. Bought 2 as this piece tends to break from use.

My old cap and drinking spout were becoming difficult to use, poor suction. I ordered this and as advertised it does work better than the original. Fyi, the cap pictured shows a light blue spout, but the one that I received is all black. Not a deal breaker but I liked the blue one.

First, I love The Coldest Water bottle. It really does keep your water cold for a long time! I purchased 2. The top on one bottle has been really good, although a bit tough to draw the water. I have had issues with the top of the second bottle however. Two of the tops cracked in the same place. The third top has held up for quite a while, but now it pulls in a lot of air while drinking. It also has started leaking from the top somewhere. I suppose I will order another before long. Shame on me. I think the tops may have been warrantied, but I never registered them.

While there are features about this lid that i love such as the nonslip straw(which was a consistant issue with my OEM lid.) & the rubber tip, but this lid is simply impractical in my case for the following reason. The way the air valve works is there is a rubber thing(flap likely) inside the bottle that only lets air in the bottle when you sip. But it in no way lets any air out except through the actually straw so that means that any ever so slightly carbonated drink will build up and can only release pressure through the straw and not the oneway air hole with the flap. So on too many occasions ive ended up with my drink leaking on my clothes(which cost money i cant afford to flush.) This happened if i left the straw open. And if its closed and i open it then i get a stream of soda spraying around and dripping every where. I had high hopes so im pretty disappointed by this obvious design flaw. Seems maybe the coldest water company only expects water to by drunken from their product. Update: customer service is impeccable. They will make sure your happy which earns 5 stars in its own right. This cap is really great again just not for carbonated beverages. Again i love the non slip straw. Its also much more durable than my original cap which had damage after each drop bit not this one. Its holding strong. Ive update this review simply becuase the company reached out to make sure i was happy kudos.

i think it works great! i didn’t want to pay for the hydro flask brand name cap, and this one had good reviews so i bought it. i’ve had it for about 4 months now and it is completely leak proof you just have to make sure you screw it on tightly. My only issue is that sometimes it is hard to drink from it. you have to really suck to get the water out. i think i’ve come to the conclusion that after washing, if the cap is not dried completely, including the little cracks, the left over water prevents the cap from working properly. you just have to blow out the extra water. I like how there are 2 straws that come with it and even a little cleaner. the bristle cleaner is so useful! there’s a lot of gunk that comes out when i clean it! you can cut the straws to whatever size you need and it is easy to install. The little square handle kind of hurts my hand when i’m holding it, and the clip it comes with isn’t very sturdy and came off (and i lost it) after about a week. I replaced the bad clip with one of my own and it fixed that issue! overall, although this isn’t THE BEST product out there, it does the job and i’m satisfied, especially for the price! i recommend :)
