DIY Hair Chalk

Fun and easy to use. Color isn't vibrant like the picture. You need to work in multiple times.

My daughter loved these. They are easy to use and actually last for a few days

My 4yr old had a kpop party.So I did her hair. Even with white blonde hair, the colors were faint.

I bought the hair chalk for my daughter who is 7 - she was a unicorn for Halloween. Each hair chalk came with a small handle and a cap at the end of to hold in the chalk. The instructions suggest dampening the hair to impart a more vibrant color. We began the process of alternating colors around her head. First - it was difficult to draw he chalk down her hair. The handle was flimsy and the end kept popping off. My daughter has straight fine hair. I had brushed it and dampened it ahead of time so that the chalk would be easy to apply. Each time the end would pop off, the chalk would start to fall out of the handle. It made the process take an incredible amount of time and was super frustrating. Second it was immediately apparent that the color was dull - barely there in fact. I tried drawing the chalk down her hair more slowly - it didn’t help. She has strawberry blond hair so I imagined certain colors wouldn’t be as vibrant - but I didn’t expect all of them to barely show. After going over and over her hair 6-8 times for each section, we did find that purple, blue and pink showed up the best. It took me 45 mins to get through her head of hair. Later I tried it on mine - I have brown hair. Same results. Dull color and requiring multiple swipes down the hair to get anything that would remotely be noticeable. It made the hair sticky and textured but was fairly easy to wash out. I would use spray color if I would need color again.

It's definitely worth it to try, especially with super light or blonde hair. My daughter is a darker blonde, and the colors still managed to be somewhat colorful and noticeable. It's relatively easy to apply, and it's easy to wash off should any get on you. Perfect for play or dress up or Halloween. However, the cons sort of outweighs the pros:I really, really hate how tacky it becomes (the hairspray doesn't help, I know, but even before applying it, the hair chalk still left an undesirable texture).- My daughter had significant knots afterward (even with brushing before application, as stated in the directions). Note: Probably not recommended for fine hair.- I felt like I applied layer after layer of color and all it did was come off my hands, resulting in a less-than-vibrant color (over and over again).I dunno. Maybe it was a user error in all of this, but I found myself inching towards semi-permanent hair color (something I wanted to avoid), like Color Rista by Loreal, instead of something that doesn't last, like... *at all*. But it almost seems more worth it.

I bought this hair chalk set as a birthday gift for my daughter, and it was a huge success! The colours are incredibly vibrant and show up beautifully, especially on lighter hair. She was so excited to try them out, and it quickly became one of her favorite gifts.What impressed me most was how easy it was to use. Despite being under 10, she was able to figure it out on her own and apply the chalk with style and confidence. It didn’t take long before she had created a full rainbow in her hair — which ended up being her absolute favorite look!This product is not only fun but also perfect for creative play and self-expression. I’d absolutely recommend it to other parents looking for a fun, mess-free way for their kids to experiment with colour. 10/10 from us!

These are some kind of coloured chalked that didn’t stained hair . Disappointed with these and won’t recommend this item to any one especially young girls !
