4.0 Wireless CarPlay Adapter, Enable Wireless Android Auto

Works really nice. However seems to cut for a split second when driving every now and then. sometimes struggeling a bit to get the connection running after turning the car on. However will see if it might be related to hot temperatures and see how the winter month will go.

This adapter works fantastically well at converting Wired Apple CarPlay to Wireless Android Auto for 982-generation Porsche 718 models. In a 2025 718 Boxster, it was easy to pair via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi in the vehicle and connects automatically whenever you restart the vehicle to display Android Auto. It performs and responds quickly with no latency. A great and inexpensive way to get Android Auto capability in the Porsche 718 family.

Customer Service was fast to respond and recommended: A full reset of the device + setting display to standard ( instead of automatic detection. There was no firmware update available. Within minutes I was up and running with my iPhone. No connection issue. Just direct to CarPlay the two trials that I did. Hopefully it will remain perfect with my wife's iPhone added later. Was: Unstable with iOS 26. When I purchased this in June of 25, for our (2018 model year) summer car with wired CarPlay, it seemed like a good value and we don't need the latest features; we just want CarPlay. it worked fine with two iPhones on iOS 18. Ever since iOS 26, it has been a nightmare. Will not connect, will start with a black screen, have to restart the radio, unplug replug, restart the car ... With each iOS update I have given Apple feedback; and hoped there would be a fix; tried to exercise patience; but at this point we're tired of having this paperweight and hassle each time we want to drive that car. I have double checked, and there is no firmware update offered for this device. I have contacted CarLinkit and will see what they advise.

Bought this for my 2022 VW ID.4. Android Auto connects but the picture is blurry. The standard fix is to change resolution at 192.168.50.2, but that page won't load on any of my devices (Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows laptop). Network scan confirms the IP doesn't even exist on the device. Only a limited update page at 192.168.50.100 is reachable, with no resolution controls. Factory reset didn't help. AutoKit app can't detect the device either

Works as described, provides Wireless Android Auto in my Mercedes that only came with wired Apple Carplay. I wish I could expand or reposition the android auto screen a little, but that's a small nitpick, I'm happy.
