Up until I learned about Citric Acid, I used to descale my coffee maker with white vinegar. It took several flushes for the coffee to taste normal, and I wasn't crazy about the smell that lingered in my kitchen. This does the same work without any of the downsides, and it only takes a couple of tablespoons in warm water.

This bag of citric acid is high quality and incredibly versatile. I’ve used it for cleaning, descaling appliances, making bath bombs, and even some homemade food recipes. It dissolves easily and has a fine, consistent texture. The resealable bag keeps it fresh and makes storage simple. For the amount you get, it’s a great value and lasts a long time.

I originally bought these to soak my teaware in and I ended up finding many uses for this, mainly bath bombs and DIY sparkling cleaner. Dissolves very quickky and is a great price for what you get. Multiple functional uses and great quality.

I am trying to rehab damaged connective tissue and citric acid is one of the key components. It’s also a good preservative for canning.

Definitely the BEST source for pure citric acid powder for one simple reason: It's way cheaper than I could find it anywhere else and (OK, 2 reasons), it contains no other ingredients as I found in other sources. Some of the more common ways I use citric acid:: - De-scaling my coffee and espresso machines - Cleaning hard water deposits in our sinks and bath - Adding it to the dishwasher detergent for a boost as well as to keep the machine scale free. (How many of you are thinking "Why doesn't this guy just get a water softener?" :-) ) - Use it as an ingredient in a DIY clothes washing detergent. - Use it as the main ingredient for a zero-calorie "Sports Drink" I make and lovingly refer to as Fakorade. (See my review on the Sucralose powder listing for more on that.) - I could go on, but there are many more. Bottom line is citric acid has MANY possible uses. Especially if you like to create your own formulations of otherwise expensive products. And the powder offered by Bulk Supplements is the cheapest pure powder that I know of.

Well, it’s Citric Acid. You could buy a giant tub for less buuuuuuut I don’t can food. Love to, but that’s more work than I want to think on. Works for why it is. It’s not vitamin c just so you got that clear; that’s ascorbic acid. Both will curdle coffee creamer if you don’t run your coffee pot on two rinses if you’re wondering 😅. I use this in my family’s bath water for soaking to help with their KP. It does the trick. It helps with one kid’s eczema and I have crappy skin that’s prone to folliculitis and razor burn. It’s almost gone away with just adding 3Tbsspns to a regular bath tub of water (3 soaks in a month-I’ve got 4 kids, no time for baths!) . It works for me.

Previous samples of this were a loose powder, this batch had clotted somewhat, so it needed to be broken up by a spoon. Otherwise it’s great.
