Got this for traveling with a 9mm on a flight (carry on) twice. I would recommend putting in a hard case bag ONLY or between clothes. The last trip I took with this was in a duffle bag of clothes that was checked and it took a beating so bad that the plastic lock face broke (still worked).

Easy to use, professionally packed, shipped fast. Serves the purpose. I Go to the beach everyday, now not afraid to leave wallet in car. Just attached it to spare tire done. Great purchase

This box is surprisingly heavy and solid, much more so than i expected; there's nothing about it that rattles or is loose. It doesnt come across as a toy. The finish is surprisingly nice, seems baked on. As a former locksmith, ill attest this box would be very tough to pry open with a screwdriver, and just pounding on it with a hammer isnt going to work either. To break it open would take at least several minutes, which is not bad at all for a sub-$30 box, so its for use when you're out and about, not overnight storage. Its far more secure than any locking glove box. I bought it to keep my gun from being stolen in a smash-and-grab when im stepped away from the car. The cable itself is the weak spot, if any, but such cables are not necessarily quickly cut or defeated. The combo dial can be shiny and a bit tough to see at night. The key lock would be faster and easier to use, but keys can be lost, and its not easy to get copies. the box can also be used in motels, hospital rooms, one's work, etc. Overall a very good buy.

This is a solid, metal constructed safe for handguns and other small valuables. It has heft, but not too much. The 3-digit combination was easy to set up. Securing your handguns from children, distressed adults and thieves is both wise and now legally required in some states, like Michigan. Children are naturally curious, and they should not kill or be killed due to this. Teens are famously moody. This is also better for STORING handguns than plush padded transportation cases, which hold humidity against the gun, which is BAD for rust formation. NEVER store your guns in cases that "hug" the gun. Instead, let AIR surround the gun. For this safe, it may be best to remove 1 or both layers of foam to allow that air circulation.

Perfect fit for a Glock 19

I really tried to like this product. It seemed promising because it had all the features I wanted—metal case, dial lock, foam liners, and a compact design. I bought it to carry my small pistol while traveling, including checking it in as airline baggage. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment. Without the pistol inside, everything seemed fine, but once the pistol was in the box, small gaps appeared around the edges and it no longer sealed properly. The worst part was the unlocking process. Even with the correct combination, the knob wouldn’t turn. I eventually had to use a screwdriver to force it open—only to realize it was that easy to break into. Now the box is damaged and completely unusable. Absolute junk, and very disappointing.

Got two of these, mostly for the car. When traveling through certain states, I can lock the gun in one and the magazines in the other. The cable can be cut easily but slows down potential thieves.
