Great for Aging Athletes or Arthritis
I'm in my mid 40s and run about 30 miles/week. I've noticed lots of back & hip pain the morning after running. I cut out the inflammatory food, and saw a chiro and it got marginally better, but I still had tons of knee & hip stiffness the morning after a 10-12 mile run. I also got achy hips after a long car or plane trip. I took OsteoBiFlex and saw little improvement. I read about BioCell Collagen in one of my mom's health food magazines and decided to try it. It works really well. I've been taking it for over a year. I take 2 capsules after a long run, and drink plenty of water. The next morning I wake up with NO pain or stiffness. It's really a great product. I have also seen longer fingernails and some improvement in my skin, although I did not initially take it for that. On the skin side, I don't see dramatic reduction of wrinkles or spots, as others have reported. If you're an aging athlete with minor arthritis and are looking to minimize pain/stiffness, I would definitely recommend this. I buy it religiously and Amazon has the best price.

Miracle Supplement
This product really, absolutely, truly works! I am so excited to have found it; it has already changed my life. I have tried all types of collagen, fairhfully followed directions, given them time to work and nothing ever came close to this. There's been such a difference in my joints that my doctor is looking into it so he can recommend it. Hallelujah! I am adding this at a later date: all of a sudden this past month, my hands started to hurt and hurt so badly the pain would wake me up at night. My father had painful arthritis in his hands, so I thought it was just my time. But the sudden onset of severe pain was curious; it did not appear gradually. I finally realized I had not taken the BioCell for a month because where I live is so hot that deliveries come practically steaming. I thought the heat could harm a supplement so I was waiting for fall to reorder. Well, once I put this together, I ordered asap and within two days I noticed a difference of less pain but after three days the pain was gone, even through the night. I feel so lucky to know about this; the doctor wanted to put me on arthritis medicine with side effects. The only side effect with this supplement is that my skin is vastly improved! In fact, I often get compliments on my skin! That's great but the loss of that severe pain is a glorious gift! It was taking care of the pain all along but I didn't know it because I had never interrupted the daily dosages. What a great thing to know, right?!!

Joint pain gone and skin healthy
Fantastic stuff.I'm a guy so I didn't buy it for my wrinkles, I did buy it for increased joint health. AFter taking it for one month I have noticed that I no longer have aches in my knee joints when I stress them with deep bends while lifting. I am 62 and had noticed that i was getting pains out of seemingly nowhere just moving and now I do not. Interestingly, a friend of my wife came over and while we were sitting talking, he asked if I had been doing anything differently with my skin because he said it looked like it was "glistening." He went on to say, in a bit of an embarrassed tone, that my skin looked somehow younger and that he was having a particular problem and that is why he bought it up. Now this may sound like an odd thing for a male friend to bring up, but he and I and my wife talk about health matters and solutions a lot. So, the point is that not only is the use of this product noticed by me but by others as well. Oh, and my skin just feels really smooth and a bit slippery -- as if it is lubricated from the inside out.

Pain Relief from Collagen Deficiency
I had a torn rotator cuff for a year and a half. I am a genealogist and I found one of my ancestors may have had collagen deficiency. I started taking this collagen thinking that maybe I have the same problem. Within 3 days my pain was a little bit less. Within 2 weeks it was significantly less. Within 2 months my pain was totally gone. I stopped taking the collagen. I then had periodic flare ups of soreness in my upper arm an inch long where the tear had occurred. I would take some collagen (much as you would any pain reliever) and the pain would go away. But other issues were happening with my body too. My knuckles were popping in and out of socket. So much that I developed Arthritis in one of them. Upon doing research I found collagen is tied to arthritis. I also have developed a knot on the bottom of my foot (kind of a bunion). Bunions are also collagen related. One of my hips was also giving me pain in bed. So I changed mattresses. That helped but I would have hip pain on the couch. I thought my hip pain was my sciatic nerve. I am only 50 years old but thought all of this was due to aging and my physically active life style. I have now declared myself collagen deficient. I am taking collagen 1,2,3,4,5 daily. My bunion is still there but I am free of pain in all other issues. My hope is that more people become aware of collagen deficiency. It makes sense when our bodies are about 80 percent collagen (if I’m correct on that number!).

Hair growth
I began using this September 20 in attempts to fill in several scars induced by AHA abuse and attempt to increase lip size. I'm reporting after 3 months of usage and have noticed that it's primary result has been revealed in hair growth and not in my skin texture. I don't mind more rapid hair growth from my scalp; the major negative is that I have begun to notice facial hair growth. It's not Hirsute (course and thick) but it has appeared in places that I never previously grew hair. I also have suspicions that the collagen was causing closed comedones. The only hair I've ever had on my face besides eyebrows is very fine blonde hairs around my mouth. In the past week I've noticed fine hair follicles/openings beginning to form on both sides of my face below the t-zone. Consequently I stopped taking the Collagen. One day has passed but I'm hoping the hair and opened follicles will dissipate over a several month period (cyclically). I hope that I must not resort to a round of electrolysis. After utilizing the Internet in attempts to find out more, all I was able to learn was that Collagen is often used to promote hair and nail growth. I didn't find any articles discussing facial hair growth. As aforementioned, it wasn't hirsute (coarse hair typically resulting from excess androgens in women) but was fine hair in new locations. I'm confused as to how new follicles could form and am posting this in attempts to find out more information. If anyone knows or can assist me in my search, please let me know. In the mean time, I'm switching to Hyaluronic Acid in attempts to fill lips and scars. I would not recommend this product for those under 30-years-old concerned with anti-aging or purely aesthetic benefits.

I bought this for my knees hoping it would help and being vain about looking younger it might help with my skin. At the end of week 2 I noticed a big difference in the skin on my arms and on my face, but alas my knees were hurting more. I thought "Oh well it was worth a shot for my knees but the difference in my skin was enough to keep taking". I took a close up picture of my fact at the start and once a week after and there is a noticeable difference and it's only been 3 and half weeks. When I was doing modified yoga at the end of week 3 I realized that my knees were more flexible and I can bend to pick up things up off the floor without being in agony. Yesterday for the first time I was able to stand cooking for the entire meal prep without having to sit on a stool. Getting up from chairs is much easier. My knees still hurt but less that before. I am ordering again. 6th month update. I still have knee pain but not near as bad as before. Yesterday I went to an art festival with a friend, and was able to walk, stop and look and walk again, for 2 hours. Of course walking up a steep hill going back to the car was hard, but not impossible. Last year I wouldn't have even tried to go to one for these. I'm able to sleep at night and not wake up with my knees hurting 2 or 3 times like I used to. I walk my active got a half mile twice a day and a 1/4 mile a few other times during the day. Some people might say "Is that all?" For me it's a lot considering what I was like last February. As a side benefit, my nails are great. I know not everyone have the same results that I'm having, but for me its well worth it.

Effective supplement
I am almost finished consuming the product. Supplement this with glucosamine works better for me in terms of lesser joint pain and recovery over the past three months than just taking any one of the two. I do recommend this product while I'm trying out UC II collagen as well.

This stuff works for my joints & there is an appreciable difference in my mobility & some pain relief, although this is not a ‘cure all’. Start at a low dose for the first week, as I took full dose immediately & found myself incredibly constipated with stomach pains. Having reduced the dose right back & then gone up again, I’m back ‘to normal’ over 3 weeks........
