Yoga Rhythms by Shiva Rea

I bought this CD for the first track. I love the feel, his voice, the melody, everything about it really. It's the only song I've heard of it's kind. It reminds me a lot of call to prayer and the resonance of that voice. The other tracks are great for Yoga or Thai Massage.

I was excited to find this because I've studied with Shiva Rea and always liked the music she used in class. But this seems like a jumbled mess to me. There's no particular pattern to the flow of music which there is in a yoga class. And some of the tracks jus don't seem to fit with a yoga practice at all. Hate to say it but I'm really disappointed....

As a yoga teacher, this is one of the VERY FEW cd's I've been able to use as a playlist for class right out of the package. No rearranging or deleting/adding songs. Making class playlists is SOOOO time consuming - so appreciated this collection.

i was looking for something melow and calming to do yoga with, but this was a bit too strange sounding, with chanting and unusual sounds. at times too soft, almost in-audible and at times too powerful. i get the impression it is more authentic to the sanscrit roots of yoga, but not the type of music i've ever heard in a mainstream yoga class.

I liked this. I like everything Shiva Rea puts out so far. I don't want to go on and on about it.

Thought I'd try one of Shiva's CDs since I'm an avid user of her DVDs. A bit disappointed in this one. More vocal than I expected. Haven't used it yet in class. Will see if it works better there.

The CD doesn't work. ONLY when I start it at track number 2 it works and it plays the rest of the CD. When I start it at track 1 it doesn't work, when I start it at track 3 or 4 or 7 it doesn't work. It has been too much hassle to ship it back to you.

You can use this cd to chill, practice or teach. I usually put together my own music for my classes but this is one of the few yoga cd's I'm confident to play as is from the case. And I use all the music separately in my own playlists. I teach flow. Enjoy.
