I would give it a 7 out of 10 on cuddley softness of the fur. While it is not the softest plush ever, my son likes it and the digging inside is firm but not rigid.

It would probably do it if you made it. It is not too floppy. I would say it would stand on its own. It is SUPER cute and soft. My daughter loves it!
