The way Maddie and Hudson take their time to get to know each other and trust each other is to die for. Slap Shot is the third book in the DC Stars. You can easily read it without having read the two first books in the series, but having read them will give you an in depth knowledge about the other characters in Slap Shot. Like the other books in the series, Slap Shot is definitely worth a read.
