I am brand new to builder gel (well not anymore because I’ve been using this for a few months now but started as beginner) and I LOVE THIS STUFF. It’s incredibly easy to work with and is self leveling so it’s very forgiving with newbies. I’m a cosmetologist so I had minimal nail care training and I was able to get through it with a little patience and practice. You can use just one layer or you could do 3-4 thin layers if you prefer thicker nails. I prefer the natural polished look and this works great. It stays clear and doesn’t yellow under the curing lamp. I have yet to break a nail or have any lifting (just make sure you don’t get it on the cuticle). The consistency is much thicker than typical polish but goes on nice and smooth and it holds up so well. I haven’t had any chipping or anything like that either. It has almost no smell and overall easy to get the hang of it!

This is my first time using the Modelones Builder Gel, and I’m really happy with the results. The brush makes it easy to apply and shape without being too runny and it has a nice consistency. It builds up the nails nicely and helps give them a stronger, more polished look. It also cures well under my UV/LED nail lamp, and the finished surface is smooth and durable. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the quality and ease of use and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys doing their own nails.

I bought this builder gel after I saw my friend’s nails that she did herself, and she said builder gel was her secret. I don’t know what brand she used, but I purchased this based on the reviews and because I already have a few nail colors from this brand. I use the builder gel as my base coat. I usually do two layers, curing each for 120 seconds, and then depending on the color I do a few layers of color. The orange nails in my pictures are 2 layers of color. Then I finish with a layer of topcoat. I’ve had this for about 10 months and have probably done my nails at least 10 times with this gel. I’m not a professional at all, just a home-doing-my-own-nails sort of situation. I have fairly healthy, thick nails naturally. I do feel like the builder gel elevates the nails. It definitely gives them a thicker base, so I feel like I don’t have to use as much color to get them to look thicker. I also feel like it helps the nails last longer. Usually my nails last 1–2 weeks, but if I reseal them with another layer of topcoat after a week, I can usually get them to last around 3 weeks. I don’t have issues with lifting or peeling as long as I’m careful to keep the gel off my skin and cuticles. My biggest issue is getting it to lay just right. It can be hard to get the curve right, and I usually end up with a sort of divot in the middle of my nail or one side being thicker than the other. But I could probably benefit from watching some tutorials on how to get the curve right, so I don't necessarily think that's the product's fault, which is why I’ll give it 5 stars rather than 4. When I’m ready to change my nails, I usually end up peeling the gel off 😅, but I have also filed it down and started new nails from there. Overall, I’ve been really happy with this builder gel and will continue using it.

This is the first time in my life that I could actually see my own nails grow. The application lasted for a month and a half before starting to lift. Granted, I did use a dehydrator and a primer and followed instructions. I had to clip them twice because my nails were getting too long. Finally a product that works to help grow my paper thin brittle nails! Pluses: -beginner friendly (easy!) -just cure it as a normal gel - beautiful results - apply gel colors or regular nail polish for looks - lasting results (amazing) - safe product Cons: - Need to be patient to remove it (well worth it after enjoying it for more than a month!) 😉🩷

Ok so I’m torn. I LOVED these. Took one trial to decided what coats / colors/ not to go too thick. But I figured it out and loved them! Buttt they only lasted a week and now they are needing redone. It’s also really hard to figure out what color to buy because they all are so different on, I’ve tried milky white and picture is of neutral nude which if too many coats is used looks orange… which I don’t love.. will try another color but was hoping these would last longer as they feel like acrylic- I did it over my real nail using base, builder clear, builder color and top coat. They are way less toxic than the last gel I tried as that irritated my skin and this did not. And it was easy to do. Cheaper than $75 sets that’s for sure ha. First pictures are 7 days after first applying which is the last two pictures. I am really hard on my hands so over all still impressed.
