Perfect for 996.1 with CD player. Plug it in and activate the AUX function in the head unit. Connects immediately and consistently. Best money I've spent on this car, sound quality is good. I never write reviews but this time I was blown away. Also, no drain on battery when car is off... There are old threads giving wrong info on this.

Purchased this to modernize my Becker headunit from 2004. Plugs into the CD changer port and that's it. No cutting/splicing. No issues pairing and can now play music from my iPhone through the headunit. Haven't used the microphone yet, so can't speak to the quality of calls. My only issue (which seems to be an issue with all aftermarket BT modules) is the volume is very low. Have to turn the volume way up on the headunit (or the phone) to hear anything through the speakers. If there's a fix for this, I'd love to hear it!

I had an earlier version of a Becker Bluetooth compatible device installed in my Mercedes R129, but this one is much better. It was not only easier to install (no wires to splice in) but it also allows a phone charger cable to be hooked up automatically. Once the pairing step is done, it connects automatically when the phone is in range with the stereo. Phone calls are great - in fact the sound with the microphone is slightly better than just the phone speaker. The other nice thing is that the unit is smaller and super easy to slip behind the stereo. Great addition to the car.

Had issues with the first device. It wouldn’t stay powered on. Ordered a replacement and it was shipped quickly. Second device works great. Sound quality is superb. I would’ve given 5 stars if not for having to return the first one. Worth a try though if you’re considering purchasing.

Mine simply won’t work, I tried but can’t locate a customer service email or phone in the US. Is there any way to get someone to help?

So there is a lot of misinformation out there and I hope this review clears it up but here we go. I didn’t believe the seller so I bought it anyway. My initial testing was done while the engine was off and in the garage (it’s raining here right now will update with an on road test later) 1. It will ABSOLUTELY work on a CR-210. The attached picture is how it displays on mine and the sound quality is superb. 2. The Bluetooth hands free calling is ultra clear in fact my brother who has the Porsche Classic Radio is pissed off he didn’t buy this. He couldn’t tell he was on Bluetooth when I did my test call 3. The Bluetooth audio is excellent. The hifi speaker package on my 1997 sounds like CD quality (incredible) 4. It take 30 seconds to connect when you initially get in the car and makes some awful beeping noises when it does. If you’re on a call it will transfer the call to Bluetooth. 5. Exiting the car on a call my call dropped (I think, or it hung up the call) so I can’t report the transfer back to the phone. I would give it 4 stars for the beeping and the possible disconnection on exit but I gave it 5 because for the money it’s fantastic and I get to keep my factory radio which is amazing

Occasionally it will disconnect and you've got to wait for it to reconnect and then restart your music/book/whatever

The first 2 devices that Amazon sent me were for the wrong radio/vehicle. The 3rd one was correct for my Becker radio. It was easy to install and so far it is fabulous! Connects automatically, great sound quality (no buzzing like the one it replaced), and the volume setting is about the same as listening to AM/FM. The only knock on it is a slight hiccup/interruption in the audio shortly after connecting. Definitely worth the investment as it allows me to keep the stock radio and still stream music/podcasts.
