Portronics POR-686 Posh II Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Black)

Pros: + solid build quality (Some reviews suggest that it is splash proof similar to the POSH 1 but the same is not mentioned anywhere) + compact size, small enough to fit in a backpack. Looking at the image, it feels bulky as a brick but is quite smaller than that (see size specs ) + Clear and Loud music (sufficient to fill one large room). one of the best in its price range (i.e.below 2000). Most of the budget speakers have 3W speaker, this one has 2 speakers of 3W power, hence it packs quite a punch in such a small size (far louder than Logitech X50, JBL go & Philips BT50) + Support for controls related to call (accept/reject call, redial last no.), music track changes, volume control + FM: Quite good reception. works standalone, no need to connect AUX cable. Although the user manual says AUX cable works as antenna & it should improve signal reception, I didn't feel any difference. + Memory card support. you can play songs loaded on memory card as well as this acts as a memory card reader. So when you connect it to computer, you can add/delete contents of memory card (NOT TESTED) + USB cable and AUX cable is provided in the box, which is usually not the case with budget speakers + it remembers the volume an the mode (FM/Bluetooth/...) which was being used last time. a welcome addon Cons: none at all. Minor caveats: - volume is extremely low while using aux cable. Hence the cable is almost useless for me. I don't intend to use it anyway, hence no issues - You can take calls using this speaker as hands-free, but the same is not recommended as the other person complained about unclear voice during the call. In my case, hands-free was an add-on, hence no offense. - battery backup is reported to be ~4-5 hours, which is kind of okay given the loud volume it produces as compared to the other speaker in same range Overall: A well built, powerful speaker with lots of features including FM support (a valuable feature for me). This one seems to be the best one under 2000/-. You simply can't go wrong with this if you are on a budget constraint. For anyone looking for a budget portable speaker (especially with FM), I would suggest to go for it without a second thought

I ordered this product on 20th sept. and was expecting to receive it on 25th sept. but, received it on 22nd sept. So, great experience with amazon. Coming to the device, it is a really compact device that can easily fit in ur laptop bags. The leatherette sides give it a premium look. There are 2 speakers with 3w power (each). Pros:- 1. Bass and treble r balanced and give u a smooth listening experience. 2. The 1000mah battery gives a usage of more than 5.5 hrs. 3. The included usb cable acts as a charger,audio output cable and can be used for sd cards. 4. FM Radio works fine and call quality is also good. 5. Splash resistant body protects it from rain and other little bits of splashes but dont drown it completely in water. 6. The two speakers give a great stereo sound experience. 7. The leatherette sides prevent it from slipping out of hands. Cons:- 1. The audio quality decreases considerably when the AUX IN cable is used. 2. Charging takes time. 3. The microphone is not good. U need to go near to the microphone to speak during calls otherwise other person wont be able to hear u. 4. This device not for very heavy bass lovers. Besides these cons, overall it is a good device. The sound is pretty loud and it is a very good value for money product. One thing to note is that ( I dont know if it happened with me only or with everyone ) it comes with 2 rubber sticks attached at its bottom. In many youtube videos, i saw that people get 2 extra rubber sticks with this device but instead of that, i got an extra hanger that attaches to the side of the device and u can attach it to ur clothes while going out. I bought Portronics POSH II after reviewing a number of reviews and comparisons. This was a gift for my wife and she is very happy with the sound quality, battery life and other features of the speaker. Since it is a Bluetooth speaker hence connectivity matters a lot which is stable and very easy to pair. The sound quality is soothing and audible in all rooms of a small 3 BHK apartment. Bass level is not very deep but decent Battery longs more than 4-6 hours (though not tested rigorously) Charging takes around 2-3 hours with indication on top Other feature are like FM radio, Mic for answering phone calls, Aux, USB connectivity with PC etc. overall I am happy but it would have been really great at 1500/- Regarding delivery: I received parcel within 2 days. I feel its super fast. Good job Amazon and Widgets India :)

Incredible for the price and better than others I have tested in the same price range. Amazing Bass and clear sound. Go for it. I have tested JBL GO, and Posh II is clearly better and louder, and the Bass on GO is not even comparable. UPDATE: I've been using it for 10 months now, and I'm dissapointed. The sound quality is still amazing, but it has A lot of other problems. It automatically disconnects sometimes, sometimes just shuts down, and now the volume buttons are not working. If only these small details were good, this would've been an amazing speaker.

Pros - 1. Excellent for the price range 2. Very Cheap 3. Music quality good, has a strong bass 4. Very loud if you want it to be, but keep in mind its a portable speaker so it has limitations as to how loud it can be 5. Very convenient to carry around, light in weight. 6. Good battery backup 7. Leather body gives it a comfortable grip. Doesn't easily slip. Cons - 1. Only USB cable given and not its charger. 2. Microphone very poor. Perhaps I received a damaged one, but other reviewers also say the same 3. Better alternatives available if money not an issue Oh and the product also has a PC-USB mode which for some reason isn't as good as Bluetooth/FM mode

This is going to be a pretty long review so either prepare or don’t read I bought this speaker because I hated the tinny and it was too quiet. When I opened Amazon, I searched Bluetooth speakers and I saw this is in the list and it was within my price budget. I decided on this because I already had a Portronics Pure Sound POR-102 2.0 Portable Speaker System which was not Bluetooth enabled. When I took this from the box when it arrived, the first thing I noticed was how compact it was and the built quality was nice. It looks really durable and it also looks stylish with all the stiching. So let me break down this product into its Pros and Cons: Pros: 1. It is compact. You can easily carry this with one hand even if you have small hands. 2. Built quality: This thing's is built very nicely. It is much better than my old Portronics. I don't how this will hold up when I accidentally drop it though. I dropped my old Portronics a couple of times and it was still working so I thing this will fare even better 3. Sound quality: Well this thing sounds good for a speaker in this price range. The sound quality is actually a little bit worse than my old speaker but maybe it is just me. You shouldn't compare it to a Bose or Sonos speaker. Those cost like 10 times more. 4. Functions: It can serve as a Bluetooth speaker, a FM radio, can be used as an external speaker through AUX input and can read songs from a Micro SD card. 5. USB pass through port: You must charge this device through Micro USB at 5V at 1A. But if you have an SD card and you need to add some new songs, you don't need to remove the SD card. You can just connect the speaker via Micro USB to your computer and copy songs simply. It will come really handy if you don't have or lost your Micro SD to USB adapter. 6. Battery life: It has a 1000mAh battery which can last 4-5 days with my light-moderate usage. 7. Rubber feet: It has rubber feet which really grips onto where you place it so it doesn't fall or scratch the surface. My older speaker had plastic feet which were just ok. Cons: 1. Volume rockers: Well this device has no volume rockers. To increase or decrease volume, you have to long press the forward or backward buttons which is extremely inconvenient for me. I mean come on Portronics was it very hard and cost too much to add two buttons. It is very hard to make fine adjustments in volume. But the upside is if you are connected via Bluetooth, on most phones, when you increase or decrease volume in phone, it increases the volume of the speaker and vice versa. You might be thinking it is understood that if you increase volume on phone, the volume of the speaker will increase. I will explain the vice versa situation: if you increase volume on the speaker, the phone shows that volume is increasing. This situation is a little hard to explain. 2. No FM station memory: It will search again when you change the station. You cannot save the frequency of the station which is a little inconvenient but it is okay. My older speakers also didn't have this feature. Overall I think this is a very good Bluetooth speaker for its price and I will recommend this one. Being a prime customer I opted for 1 day delivery option and package was delivered after 3 days. Occasionally amazon service is pathetic. Talking about speakers. I have used 3 products in the price range of 1600-1900 ie this along with boat stone 600 and soundbot sb571. I found posh to be the best. Feature i like the most is 4 led battery indicator. Unlike others you can certainly be aware to battery left. Apart from that i found sound of posh be better than other to speakers. Stone 600 has better base but its not clear. Where as sb571 has clear and loud sound but lacks base. Posh has perfect combination of base and clarity. Unlike others its very portable and build quality is great. Sd card and fm are added advantage.

I have been using the speakers continously for two days now. Very Good build quality, good tactile buttons, i specially like the leather textured hard rubber material around the body. If you are looking for a small loud speaker, this does the job, it can get pretty loud. The sound quality ok, but is not the best , (thats where it lost a 5 star rating) It has good thumping bass, but the mids does get muddy. Also there is a noticably persistant background white noise even when the volume is kept very low. I have been using it in Pc usb mode for quiet some time and The speaker did glitch after long hours of use. But goes away after i turn it off and back on again. Guess its not build for continous pc speaker use. As for Bluetooth, i had some issues connecting at first, but i got it connected anyway ( I was sitting in a cozy corner with lots of wireless devices and cables, it connected right away after i moved and could sit back in my cozy corner :) Update: Bluetooth glitch still persists, gets choppy after a few minutes of use with my htc m8. Not connecting with my moto g (1st gen) at all. All in all, with all the features, I would say good value for money.
