I used this potting mix to grow cilantro. I will say that I mixed my potting media with amendments being my homemade compost, and tossed in some benefical springtails/pot worms. My cilantro seeds germinated well and is currently thriving. I personally haven't used this potting media as is and always have great results. My 1st purchase I had sunflowers in this but again it was amended with top soil and beneficial pot worms so my sunflowers were able to thrive in this media. I have yet to open a bag that came with fungus gnats although that was a huge problem when I used miracle gro brand. This moistens well and holds moisture well so I don't have to water my plants frequently. This brand is rather affordable and my local home depo carries this brand. Through the seasons I personally haven't bought any store fertilizer as I've always added spent coffee, stale meat only dog treats, dehydrated fish and fruit tops to my soil on behalf of my worms. My plants have been thriving just fine. I can't speak for other's experiences with this potting media but I haven't had any problems with it. I even got a mushroom to grow in this media as it comes with benfical fungi. Overall this brand has been extremely good for my needs and I have plants like my monstera in it growing just fine. While my plants aren't technically in the right growing media they have been doing well in this brands potting mix which as said was amended with top soil and a few other things. For my needs this brand has been good to me.

I recently bought my very first monstera and was terrified of accidentally killing it with the wrong soil. I grabbed this bag because it seemed straightforward and I’m so glad I did. The texture is incredibly fluffy, making it really easy to tuck the roots in without feeling like I was crushing them. Since the repot, I’ve already seen a brand new leaf unfurling which feels like a huge win for a novice like me! It drains perfectly in my ceramic pot, so I don't have to panic every time I water it. It really took the guesswork out of starting my plant journey, and my little green roommate looks happier than ever on my desk. It’s a great, reliable choice if you’re just starting out and want to see real results quickly.

I absolutely love this soil. I use it on all of my plants whether that be my houseplants, my herbs, and my succulents. This soil has worked on all of my plants. I really didn't like the fact that it had huge pieces of mulch in it but I just picked the pieces out. I definitely got my money worth of soil for sure. I still have some left over as well, I know if I need to get soil I will definitely get this brand again.

The soil itself appears to be very good quality. It is light and fluffy, and already contains a small amount of perlite, which is a nice bonus. I was happy with the texture and overall condition of the soil. However, when it arrived, the bag had multiple holes in it — almost as if it had been chewed through — and soil had leaked inside the shipping box. In addition, a spray bottle that was packed together with the soil arrived broken. The spray head was damaged, likely due to the weight of the soil during shipping. While this may be an Amazon packaging issue rather than the seller’s fault, the overall delivery condition was disappointing. The product itself seems excellent, but the damaged packaging really needs improvement.

I used this to repot my ferns and they look very green and healthy now. The soil is light and stays soft instead of getting hard. It is a good product that doesn't make a mess on my work table.
