This small packages did wonders to my hair and scalp. I have super straight thin-medium hair, long down to my hips and for years I have tried to "train" my hair not to wash it too often due to the amounts of hair I loss in the shower. I have tried the expensive stuff, I have tried the over-the-counter stuff and nothing gets rid of my oily otchy scalp until these products. I got the travel size just to try them first before fully committing to the full size and let me tell you it worked! I tried to follow the instructions as best as I can remember from previous products on the sequence on what to do first and then next. I was eskeptical to the scalp scrub and the shampoo but once I tried them I was surprised to feel the softness of the hair and the actual good scent it had and leaves. A little bit goes a long way and surprisingly it didn't take much of the scrub to do my whole head. The beeds dissolve fairly quick but they do its function. The shampoo also doesn't need a whole lot to latter the hair itself. Lastly it came with a bidy scrub which also left my skin feeling soft and not greasy or glossy. Lastly once my hair was dried (hair dried, I avoid frying my hair) I did sprayed the leave-in conditioner and it sealed the deal! I'm sold! It not only smells AMAZING it truly repaired my oily scalp and the softness of my hair which remains for days on after. I now use it once a week or every 10 days depending on how bad my work days are, and yet my hair feels much better, no kore bad smells, less oils, and less itching and scratching. I will definitely buy the full sizes once I'm almost done with the travel sizes, they truly go a long way for the price I paid.

I needed a good detox shampoo, as I started wrapping my hair about 4 months ago. Since I'm no longer using styling products, and now wearing scarves daily, my scalp has been readjusting and overcompensating by producing more oil. I always washed my hair weekly before, but now my usual shampoo hasn't been sufficient, and I've been left with build up even after doing a second shampoo. After scouring reviews, I chose this OUAI travel kit, with detox shampoo, and thick hair mask and scalp scrub. I wanted to try the travel size before committing to the large bottles. I also purchased a handheld scalp scrubber. The value seemed pretty fair for the size, but I had to wait and see how much I went through once I actually used it. As for the Scalp scrub. My hair is halfway down my back, very thick and curly. I put about a quarter size amount in my palm to start and was shocked when it was actually enough to distribute throughout my whole scalp! I wasn't exactly sure what to make of the scent when I first read the description on the listing, but its very pleasant! Not too sweet, just enough to be fresh and feminine. I used the scalp scrubber to loosen up the buildup at my scalp and was suprised I was able to use it to comb through my hair. Getting a comb through wet hair prior to shampooing is something that just doesn't happen, so this is when I started to realize I was possibly working with miracle products. After about 3 minutes of gentle scrubbing, it rinsed clean. I could already feel a major difference. I applied about a half dollar size amount of the Detox shampoo. Wonderful rich lather, that same fresh scent and clean rinsing. After that amazing scalp scrub the single wash was sufficient. I can't even remember the last time I didn't have to wash my hair twice! The Thick Hair mask only required a quarter size drop. Also unheard of with this much hair. Usually I need a palm full in order to get a comb through my hair. I was able to comb through my hair with my fingers alone, as I had already combed through from the very beginning. No greasiness with this hair masque here; just unbeatable softness. After a thorough rinse, and towel dry, I examined my scalp, and there was no trace of any leftover buildup. As stated before, I only use the bare essentials in products now. I'm no longer using curl creams, smoothing oils, or hairsprays. Just a couple sprays of the included leave in conditioner was enough to work through my hair. It had the same light, fresh scent as the other products. I let my hair air dry, and it felt amazing! My hair was soft, my curls had definition, it was shiny and full of movement. I couldnt believe how much different my hair looked after one treatment. I had never tried a scalp scrub before, but was so simple to use, and after seeing such an incredible difference after one use, I'm a convert! I've already added the larger bottles of each product to my subscribe and save. They have many different options for individual types of hair. _As a former hairdresser, I understand quality products aren't cheap. But it's because they are super concentrated, which means you use less, and they last longer. Using more cheap product often means your only piling on products made with higher concentrations of water, and questionable chemicals from a questionable source. Choose the right product for your hair and I promise you won't be disappointed with this brand. Quality products are like a prescription. You need the one made specifically for your needs. If you have fine hair and get thick hair products, you'll end up with weighed down hair, as people with thick hair need the extra moisture and oils. Similarly, if someone with thick hair buys a product for fine hair, it's probably not going to cleanse well enough, the conditioner in all likelihood will be much too thin. Adding more of it won't change anything, it's the consistency that won't be right. I've been alternating between 2 different brands for about 8 years, and thought they were the best. I've tried a couple others here and there mostly out of curiousity, but none of them were nearly as good and I always went back to my two favorites. But since I've changed my entire daily routine, that naturally includes having to find the appropriate new care routine. I don't believe the scalp detox would be appropriate for weekly washing, as that would strip the oils entirely and leave me with no natural moisture. I have a feeling I will likely be purchasing the Thick Hair formula as well, and over the next few months working to find the right balance. Your hair and scalp will thank you if you too take the time to choose the correct product for your hair needs. Purchase a scalp massager for an extra massaging experiences for those with excessive buildup or if you simply enjoy an extra massage. I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2004 and I can't even remember the last time I tried a new product line that I was so impressed with. A couple products I liked well enough to finish the bottle. But I haven't found new products in the last 20 years that worked well enough to warrent actually buying a 2nd bottle, let alone the whole shampoo/conditioner/scrub/hair masque! This is the jackpot right here! 100% recommended! Enjoy! EDIT- I had a hair appointment last week, and my Stylist says she has never seen my hair so healthy! The oiliness in my scalp is beginning to balance out and my hair is softer and healthier than it's ever been.

As an oily hair gal, I’ve tried dang near every shampoo under the sun to actually get my hair clean. I’ve done ACV rinses, scalp scrubs, all of the random things to possibly help. On a whim, I purchased the travel kit to try the OUAI shampoo, not really having high expectations.. Lemme preface by saying, I do a “quick shampoo wash” before I use this stuff. Is it necessary? No. But I get more bang for my buck if I do (I end up needing less of this product each wash, so it lasts longer.) what does that mean? I use a cheap shampoo (or old shampoo I tried and didn’t work great for what I wanted, but still want to use it up) and quickly scrub through the hair on my scalp. It’s not going to lather much if you’ve got oily/dirty hair - that’s fine! It’s the pre-wash. THEN! I go in with this guy. I only need a small amount, I lather in my palms, and then get to scrubbing. When I rinse my hair? It literally SQUEAKS clean. My hair and scalp are SQUEAKY clean, no joke. I then follow it up with a drug store bonding shampoo or head and shoulders (depending on the day), and then a drug store bonding conditioner. My hair has never been healthier! This is the ONLY shampoo I’ve ever used that actually cleans my hair and scalp (in over the 15+ years I’ve been buying my own products) so if you’re on the fence for trying it, get the travel kit. I also liked the scalp scrub (used it along my neck/hairline to help with some occasional acne), and the mask and leave in were also great and light enough for my fine hair. I did however enjoy the shampoo enough to purchase a bigger bottle once it ran out, even with the higher price.

These were perfect for traveling, just the right size. The price point it a little higher than what I normally would spend but definitely worth it. They all smelled great, the scrub was amazing and left my skin feeling refreshed and smooth. The shampoo left my hair feeling shiny, refreshed and clean. The container for the shampoo and conditioner were not the best, they were open upon arrival and some of the product had leaked out everywhere ( not very durable).
