Delicious recipes and she's hilarious! - This is a really fun book! Her food is delicious and she’s hilarious! Recommend! My thoughts and pics on the dishes we tried… Everything bagel cream cheese breakfast bake. I’ve made this twice already. It’s absolutely divine and a nice way to get your bagel fix while keeping the carbs a little lower. There’s 3 bagels in 8 servings. I used 24 ounces of spinach instead of 10 the second time and loved it even more. Cool ranch taco salad. Delicious, but the intro made me cough-laugh my sip of coffee. Carrot and avocado salad with lime dressing. Total keeper. Lazy posh. Fast, healthy, and yummy! Roasted butternut squash and pomegranate salad with garlicky honey-dijon salad. Fantastic cold weather salad. Flavorful, filling, and good for you. Perfect. Chicken teriyaki burgers with toasted coco buns. Yuuuuuuummmmmm!!! Loved these. The addition of the coconut makes it! Crispy bacon and sweet pickle patty melts. I loved these, but have nothing to compare them to because it was my first patty melt. My hub had to finish mine because these are pretty serious. If you haven’t had one before it’s like a grilled cheese with a burger rammed right in there. Philly French dip sandwiches. All the yes. We smeared the cheese that was supposed to be dip inside the top bun. Crispy coconut chicken tenders with pineapple chili sauce. These were my favorites. Like coconut shrimp, but they’re chicken. The sauce is perfect, too. Crispy-coated oven-roasted sweet potato wedges. Awesome! Taters, shrooms and peas with parmesan cream. I made this for breakfast after crossfit and it is so wonderfully decadent! Pepper’s spring rolls. These are honestly the best spring rolls I’ve ever made. Actually, the best I’ve had. Period. My store was out of bean sprouts, so I subbed in cole slaw mix and that worked just fine. Totally make these! Ron’s hobo burger dinners. Easy, yummy, and cute to bring to the table. I think they’d be serious fun for camping. Review: Healing Power of Comfort Food - Chrissy Teigen, the author of this cookbook is an ex-model, author, mother of two and is married to John Legend. A beautiful woman, so down to earth, that she talks about her post partum depression, the changes her body went through while pregnant and post partum. She is so normal and well liked that thousands of people follow her on Instagram and in other forms of media. Now, she has authored her second book, called Cravings, Hungry For More. I am late to this party, and do not have her first cookbook Cravings, but this one looks so good, I may have to purchase number one. Chrissy wrote this cookbook because so many of her fans asked for another. After having two children, she now brings the labors and loves of food from all over the world. Some simple dishes that do not take too much time are included. She has tried to incorporate less caloric foods that speak to our cravings for comfort food. Chrissy starts the book with her introduction, why this book came to be and what she was looking to bring to us. This is a 250 page cookbook filled with love and amazing photographs. Chrissy and her family are shown with the food she and her husband are preparing, and Warning:do not start reading this book if you are hungry. There are ten jam-packed chapters filled with recipes and some stories. Starting with : Breakfast and Brunch Soups Salads Sandwiches Vegetarian or Vegetariable Snacks Potatoes and Their Friends Thai Mom Suppers Sweets. I cannot in good conscience choose one recipe from each chapter, I want to try them all. Take a gander at the photos, I dare you, and not think about which recipe you will try first. Alright one recipe that really amazes me is Twitters and Uncle Mike’s Banana Bread. This is like no other banana bread recipe I have seen. It is made in a bundt pan. The comfort food we all want and savor is here. We also understand that healthy eating and exercise is the best thing we can do for our bodies, but for that time when we need more, here it is. Better and Better
I bought both books (and the knives and the measuring bowls, pinch pots and small dessert dishes...) I cook for yacht crew (about 12-15 people) and most of these recipes are easily doubled or tripled and work very well for large groups. They are also a delight to read because of Chrissy's wit and humor dispersed throughout the recipes. Both books often end up on my bedside table as evening reading. I've learned a whole different side of cooking and new tastes with these books. I love the Thai recipes and also appreciate the good old home grown American comfort food. This version is a bit lighter than her first, with a more refined palate. I really do appreciate that the recipes actually work - if you have ever used a recipe that did not turn out how it should you know how disappointing that can be - but you will not be disappointed with this purchase! From 15 happy yacht crew and me. PS. I am claiming the banana bread recipe as my own - everyone loves it and I'm not telling them my secret!

Perfection
I'm a huge fan of the first book, I actually made quite a few of the recipes, and I'm not much of a cook. They were all delicious. While I haven't cooked much from the second book, there are many recipes I'm eager to try. I even bought a waffle iron to make the Parmesean waffle breakfast. I like that the recipes are ever-so-slightly more ... health conscious? It's still the same food you crave to eat, but there are a few more vegetarian-ish selections. I was going to say the soup chapter is the only dud for me, but I realized there is even a recipe there I want to try. I should mention that on top of it all, the author still has the same humorous, friendly tone of voice that makes simply reading this enjoyable.

I'm not a great cook but I follow Chrissie on Twitter and love her everything, so I thought I'd give this a go. The book is beautiful, and that's before you get to the pics of her, John and Luna. The writing is charming and witty and I the food looks amazing, with plenty of recipes that are great for beginners like me. I am utterly delighted with it. If you fancy a cookbook that makes you feel good about wanting to eat all the lovely food, this is the one <3

I just bought it and...the book is gorgeus!! I'm not that skilled in the kitchen, so I love that the recipes look easy to make, they are even great for inspiration (to adjust to what I have in my fridge at the time) and her comments on each recipe makes it fun. I feel very happy with my purchase.

I haven't liked a cookbook this much in a very long time! I've made so many of the recipes and some of them multiple times. This book is incredibly accessible. The recipes work out every time and are easy to follow. Not much fuss and delicious food every time. Incredible!
