Symmons Single Lever Plastic Cartridge

I had a Symmons faucet from maybe the late 1990's which was leaking, I was able to replace this part in about 15 minutes and then it worked great. I could not find a model number on the old faucet, just that it was from Symmons.

The new taller piece of red plastic is an arc instead of a shallower circle, and it stays in place and limits the high temperature movement of the handle MUCH more reliably than the old style. I am so glad they finally made this safety feature work dependably! It isn't shown in the picture, but trust me, you'll love it.

My kitchen faucet had broken and this was the replacement part. The part description helped me determine that this would work, it was delivered on time as promised, and was easy to install.
