White Shark

I read this novel years ago when I first started high school. Then for a long time, nothing happened. But when I heard that there was a hardcover edition, I did some looking up and decided to get a copy. And you know what? I enjoyed it and discovered small details I never knew from my first reading. I think this is my favorite Peter Benchley novel, next to Beast. What I'd really like to read next is The Girl of the Sea of Cortez.

I absolutely love this book....Peter did a great job in reeling you into the story line. The chapters are quick reads and packed with enough detail to keep you wanting more. You can tell he did a lot of research to bring out realistic aspects in the book. There also was a bit of comedy thrown in the plot that is good for a chuckle. Hats off to the author, he did an amazing job!

Solid sea monster fun, written by one of the masters of the genre. Not as finely composed as his earlier works of Jaws and Beast, but damn good fun.

Bought this for son as he loves the book. Out of all written by this author, this is a favorite!

Saw good reviews about this book, but nothing much really happens until halfway through the book and even then just a so-so, highly improbable read. (Jaws was much better, mostly because, sharks are real.)

Excellent writing by one of the science fictions greatest. Benchley creates a compelling storyline and character base, and puts together a plausible scenario that keeps the reader glued to the pages of this horror story.If Jaws kept you out of the water, White Shark will keep you away from the coasts!!!

If you are a Benchley fan you will enjoy this book. I started it one day and put it down, several days later I started back again and didn't miss anything. Very easy reading

Great shark book

but its still worth it! Mad mad concept but a good read

A good scary yarn

I didn't even know Peter Benchely had written another shark book until I stumbled across this. Very well written. A book that keeps you hooked till the end. If you like jaws you need to read this!

Very entertaining story better than the film. In paper book not so heavy.

A good rip roaring read. I read this when i was off work after surgery. Read it in one complete sitting. Definitely a page turner.
