I was expecting something a bit less with this model, and I am happy that I was wrong in that expectation. This model has a lot of detail that I wouldn't expect in a half-sized model. Of course, it isn't a functional firearm like its big brother, but I added some pics to show the parts I was impressed with. The numbering on the magazine matches. The magazine holds 7 rounds, and will cycle (manually). The bolt face has the correct plungers, extractor, and ejector. An empty magazine locks the slide open. The safety prevents the trigger from engaging. The hammer fall. Ejection, stripping, and loading a round upon cycling the slide. It's all there. It's cool. It's more fun than I expected it to be. Hopefully the pics show the details that made the difference for me, and maybe for you.

I got this miniature desert eagle model because I've always liked firearm kind of stuff and it looked so realistic in the pictures. In real life, it's just as realistic looking. So much so that it gave me pause to have ordered it online. The barrel is only partially drilled and doesn't appear to have any rifling. Also, the barrel is very difficult to get in and out of the slide. The slide springs kind of float freely and don't have any particular landing point. The trigger mechanism only works some of the time and has very weak feeling springs, as do the magazines. All this to say that it goes through the motions but if it is meant to replicate the real thing on a smaller scale it's going to need honing and machine work just to smoothly operate as-is. It's very cool looking, even the miniature case is a believable recreation. So, four stars for looks with some clear manufacturing hiccups that are only noticeable when you start moving the action.

This is a replica of an Israeli Desert Eagle 50 caliber hand gun. It is die cast zinc alloy. It is beautifully crafted for display with detail. This replica disappointed me although it is an authentic looking gun with 12 metal authentic looking loadable dummy bullets, 2 removable magazines, working trigger and hammer, extra springs and screws. It has the ability to slap & rack and eject shells. This Jammed on me multiple times while I racked it. Due to the jamming, I gave this three stars.
