Good Bag, not perfect. Fits 17" Laptop.
This is a very good bag. Quality. My 17" laptop, which measures 16.25" side-to-side, easily fits in the laptop compartment, and a tablet or smaller laptop could fit in the other compartment (both compartments located in the back zipper). Lots of compartments. Zippers are solid. Look is great, and the snap-back luggage tag is sorta nifty, as long as it holds up (which should be a long time since it really would not be used since this is a carry-on). The interlocking system also works well, and I tried attaching the B&R bag on top of our main luggage (not B&R), and it worked fine. Here is what I do not like. The Velcro in the back zipper compartment that controls how much the bag's back zipper compartment can be opened, including all the way to being completely flat. Hey B&R, not a good design! There is a better way to do this. Adjustable straps come to mind. If you insist on the Velcro, then create a way to keep the 4 pieces of Velcro, when they are not fastened, away from zipper movement. Should you choose NOT to fasten the Velcro (as in you would be laying the bag flat each time you open it), they currently interfere with both the inside zipper, and the back compartment zipper. And if you are going to refasten the Velcro, there needs to be a way easier process. Also, although I have experienced way worse, the handle when it is extended and moving on all 4 wheels in front of you, such as down the aisle of an airplane, could feel stronger. My bag will be heavy, and the handle, while much better than some other less expensive bags, does not feel as solid as some luggage that I own. It feels like it could give way at some point in future years (guess that is where the lifetime guarantee comes in). Also, I noticed when on 2 wheels, as in dragging the bag behind you, the bag did not want to reverse directions at all. It went one way, and only one way. So if you are moving through an airport rolling the bag on 2 wheels behind you, and you need to back up, it will be difficult. Overall, the bag is a good bag. I am picky, but when paying this much for a bag, it better be perfect.
