Wow, just wow
Magic in a bottle. Never use lacquer before.. I needed it on a thick piece of wood so I could put the wood in the back of my car and have my DJ equipment slide on the wood easily. It turned the wood literally into glass and it dried very quickly. This is impressive stuff. I didn’t even know this kind of thing existed.

Want to spray a guitar?? Do it!
I have used this on 3 guitars, and with each one I get a little better putting it on and getting better results. I actually had a couple runs in the first guitar, yikes, but all my fault. Put it on thick enough to look glossy and no more. But I was able to sand it out a couple days later and spray again. I put about 20 total coats on my guitars, sanding every few to smooth out the orange peel. The finished results look very great all the flaws were my own doing, not the product. It goes on consistent and smooth. I'd recommend warming the can in some warm water before using, it seems to spray smoother that way. After the last coat, sanding with paper right up to 2000 grit (automotive stores!) and a polishing compound to finish. This product can give you some awesome results!! Remember this is a nitrocellulose lacquer so you can't put your guitar in a regular guitar stand with the foam on the arms. The foam is petroleum based and will slowly react with the finish, dulling it or softening it. It can get pretty ugly if your guitar sits against the foam. Tip: wrap the foam with black gaffers tape and you'll be good to go!

Great for guitar neck.
I used this for my guitar neck over some StewMac colored lacquer. It turned out really nice. It dries quick, finish is good quality, and nozzle is good quality. Would definitely recommend.

You can get a flawless finish with this and a paint brush.
The price has almost doubled since I bought this in 2019! The fumes given off by Lacquer are NO Joke. This is extremely potent fumes that you do Not want to breath in and fill any dwelling with! The other downside is temperature requirements. Has to be very mild with low to moderate humidity to use. Although spaying on Lacquer is easier, it is a serious mess and the overspray can cause damage to other things unintended to be sprayed. Enter Brushing Lacquer. The same problems with fumes but No problems with overspray and needing a spray booth. It also might need a little more time to flatten but end results are identicle.

Seal Your Wood Furniture from Moisture and UV Rays
I'm Going to use it on stained furniture that hasn't been sealed. Indoor or outdoor furniture. Mine is for an outdoor bench that has only been stained. Lacquer is like putting on a tarp, only better. Very EZ to do. You don't need to send it to a restoration wood shop. $$$ First, test you skill on the bottom where no one will see it. Nice EZ strokes about 8 to 10 inches away from the wood. Spray several light coats (heavy coats are not better...they run and bubble) Let dry for about 30 minutes between coats. After the last coat is applied, let it totally dry for 24 hours. Don't be intimidated. This is pretty EZ to do. Packaging: A note to Amazon. The cans were loose in a box and rolled around. One cap was cracked. But not a big deal

Fantastic Product With Great Results
This stuff is so great! I used it to refinish a snare drum. I did extensive online research - it's true nitrocellulose, so it produces high quality results with multiple coats actually chemically "melting" into one another. I sanded the drum to 220 grit smoothness, stained it, applied a coating of nitrocellulose lacquer sanding sealer, roughed it up a bit with 220grit, then applied 6 coats using this lacquer spray, no need to sand between coats. I waited a half hour between each coat, making sure it was no longer tacky before spraying another coat. Great overall results, as you can see in the pictures. I didn't have any trouble with it running - just be sure to do thin spray coats with a nice sweeping spray motion. The tip is adjustable so you can get a vertical or horizontal spray pattern. Once finished, I didn't really even see a need to wet sand it afterwards as I wasn't looking for a wildly high-gloss mirror-like finish. I was able to do 6 coats with one can, although I might have been spraying a bit farther away than I needed to - probably closer to 10-12 inches rather than the recommended 6-10.

Great quality
Even though it is used for primarily wood, I see it as possible that it can be used on glass, metal, and ceramics. I used it on a few liquor bottles, a lamp base, and a mantle clock. The results are incredible and they showed no signs of easy peeling or cracking. I trust Minwax and their products with best quality and durability.

Glass like finish when done right!
I do quite a bit of woodworking as a hobby. Clear lacquer has always been my go to finish and this spray lacquer really makes it easy to apply. The trick to using this, is LOTS of very light coats and rub between each coat when dry with steel wool and clean it off. If you do this when you are done, you'll have a finish that looks like glass!
