The touch screen assisted me in getting rid of my mouse. I also the the insurance and software that came with the laptop and the larger screen size. I totally love the laptop !!!! Even the rose colored case!

HP WARRANTY IS NO GOOD IF BUYING FROM AMAZON, THE SAME PROBABLY APPLIES TO OTHER DEVICES AS WELL
UPDATE 2/15/2026: HP did not honor any part of the warranty. However the Amazon seller of this product did fix the laptop for free after I paid out of pocket to get my data and files off of it and format the hard drive. I sent the laptop to the Amazon seller after getting it back from HP, they repaired it promptly and returned it. So my whole motivation for buying it from Amazon was to get the memory and hard drive upgraded, it did not occur to me and it was not clearly stated that ordering such upgrades would void the original manufacturer's warranty. Imagine spending $1200 for an upgraded laptop only to find out the original manufacturer doesn't honor their warranty. Lessons learned: be cautious about buying or don't buy a laptop or other device like a phone from Amazon since the original warranties get voided, kind of like buying a new Ford, Toyota or GM product and finding out your warranty is void because of parts from one of their parts suppliers. There should be an agreement between the OEMs and Amazon to correct this. Also not sure we'll be buying anymore HP products, after numerous contacts and voice calls to HP, I found what they say on the phone and chats, which is recorded, is not backed up by their technical support. January 2026: DO NOT BUY HP AND QUESTIONABLE WHETHER TO BUY IT FROM AMAZON!!! I bought this laptop September 1, 2025 and 4 months later the screen went blank. I've owned HP laptops for about 20 years. Sent it to the HP service center for Warranty repair or replace and they call it "Customer Induced Damage" because I bought it from Amazon! I guess like others have said it was modified by Amazon so I could get extra memory. So I just now called HP again and they are contacting their service center and will get back to me. If HP or Amazon back the product they sell and fix or replace this laptop since it is under warranty then I will update this review. THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WHEN YOU SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON A NEW LAPTOP AND HAVE TROUBLE USING THE WARRANTY SERVICE!!!

It's OK But some work around needed
Only has 1 USB port. Had to get a hub to add some of my devices. Keyboard does not light up. Keys feel rough. Gets hot after using for a while. Takes a magician to turn off One Drive. Some built-in commercial (advertising) apps cannot be removed. Has port for Apple devices and HDMI. Won't use either of these. Wish I had read the info more carefully!

Item was ordered on Thursday night and delivered Saturday about 1 pm. in perfect condition. Price was right and it came with a lifetime subscription to Office which saves me $75 a year. Killer deal!
