ChocZero Keto Butter Cookies - Sugar Free Danish Shortbread - Gluten Free, Low Carb - (1 Box, 8 oz)

Pretty good, like that they’re gluten and sugar free, though not as dense or sweet as regular butter cookies. However, they act just like butter cookies, having a nice texture and don’t easily crumble. They’re also soy free, which I need. There is a bit of an aftertaste, but it’s not horrible. Monkfruit just has a weird flavor but it’s definitely easy to overlook. I’ll still take it over other sweeteners, which have weird flavors and cause gastrointestinal problems.

As someone who does not consume sugar I am always on the lookout for good sugar-free treats. ChocZero are delicious with a nice crunchy texture. I do find them a little pricey for the size of the box but considering they are made with monk fruit which is more expensive than other sweeteners it’s understandable.

I’m trying to cut carbs while still enjoying the holidays. I am not going completely Keto, so I got to explore the texture and flavor side by side of the tin can butter cookies vs. these ones. I must say, the calorie count is not vastly different, (at 170/140 cal per serving) but the net carbs is where the magic happens (23 gr/4 net carbs per 4 cookies). That being said, the tin can cookies are known for that buttery, melt in your mouth texture and the chokzero ones are a bit firmer, crispier and don’t have the caramelized top. They look and smell very similar, they’re comparable in size. Overall, a wonderful replacement if you want to get a taste of the holidays without sacrificing your health and weight loss journey. I’ve served these to my family while I ate mine and it felt good to be able to join in the family tradition. (The lighter color ones)

These are a bit too dense and dry for butter cookies. Kept me from wanting to eat too many of them though. I probably a a good thing.
