Aeron chair is the best!
From the mesh fabric seat bottom and back to its finely engineered construction, the Aeron Chair is an absolute delight. Sitting in an office all day can wreck havoc on my back, but the Aeron Chair has provided my seditary office life a back-saving pleasure. At $700 the "Basic" is pricey - OK, very pricey, but it provides incredible comfort that endures throughout the day. I also purchased the "PostureFit" lumbar support. I'm not sure that this enhancement was worth the extra $75. However, the overall performance of chair and support is superb.

Great chair, not adjustable
Buyer beware: This chair is ONLY adjustable for height (up/down). I have been researching an adjustable ergonomic office chair for several weeks and came across many glowing reviews of the Herman Miller line. Unfortunately, however, I purchased this model which does not have lumbar support, tilt adjustment, or other options available on many other models. I will be returning this chair. Look carefully at the item details and make sure you buy a chair that fits all of your needs, especially given the costs of the Herman Miller chairs.

Gets High Praise
This wasn't a purchase for me but for the better half who spends hours a day at her computer and was really dealing with back issues due to that. I think 5 minutes after receiving this chair and putting the back on it she was in love with the thing. This model doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of them do but, she's perfectly happy with it as is. I'm too tall for this model but I have sat in it and I can say it's very comfortable! It tends to rock back slightly to take the weight off of your spine and put it against the back of the chair so you don't find yourself leaning forward to get in a comfortable position. Some may say it's insane to spend this much on an office chair, to you I say, if you spent as much time as she does at your desk then you would think this is a drop in the bucket to not have an aching back every night.

Aeron chair
This is the Cadillac of office chairs and can typically go for over $1,000. We looked for an office chair for more than 2 months and nothing came close. If you sit in front of a computer for any length of time, this chair is for you. Why torture yourself with a mediocre product? Note that office supply companies have to sell to the masses and therefore stock chairs that will fit the mainstream customer. If you are shorter or taller, they will always be uncomfortable. There are 3 sizes (A-B-C) with 'A' being the smallest and designed for a smaller or petite frame. Since my wife is 5'5", this was perfect for her. The webbing is on both the back and seat portion of the chair. This adapts well to the user as well as provides a ventilated chair that a leather chair cannot provide.

Great Comfort, Good Looking, Expensive
I've been sitting in a (slightly fancier) Aeron chair at work for several years now, and it is definitely the most comfortable office chair that I've ever used. I can sit in this for hours without any discomfort. The basic model lacks easy armrest adjustment. You select the armrest site when assembling the chair, and it requires a bit of disassembly to adjust. Not a problem for me, as I'm the only frequent user of the chair. The version I have at my office has a quick adjust, but I can't recall ever adjusting it after initial set-up. If you'll have multiple people of different size using this chair, this might not be the right model for you. This definitely isn't a cheap chair (I'm assuming there's lots of profit somewhere in the chain), but I sit in this thing every day, and I'd definitely pay again if I somehow became separated from my chair. Durability seems pretty good -- the one I sit in daily at work looks pretty much new after several years of use.

Disappointed: few adjustments
Ordered this based on the description online. On arrival I found out that it does not have adjustable arm rests. The brochure that came with the chair lists 10 possible adjustments. Of those, 9 are 'only available on some models'. I wouldn't want all 10 adjustments, but arm rest height is one I would have wanted. The seating is comfortable and the height adjustment is good. I had just expected more based on Aeron's good reputation. Caveat emptor still applies to good brands. This might be a product that you should buy from a store where you can see and test the different models. It is a complicated product and it may be beyond Amazon's ability to present the alternative versions. I'm giving 2 stars because I see other people have hit the same problem yet the web interface still does not adequately show what is and is not adjustable.

A Real Lifesaver for Someone with Pain
This is literally one of the only chairs I can sit in comfortably, thanks to musculoskeletal pain. THANK THE MAKER for this. I was in so much pain all of the time before I found this chair, only being able to sit (with pain pills and cushion) for, at best, an hour. Then I did an internship at an office where they used these chairs, and it blew my mind! I had been worried beforehand that I would not be able to make it through my summer internship for more than a week, but once I found this chair, I immediately ordered one for home and one to be kept for me at grad school when I returned. I still can only sit about 3 or 4 hours with this chair, but that's a huge difference from any other chair. Worth every dollar.

Be aware this is not the 'full feature' chair model
It's my own fault, but I didn't catch in the fine print, this is a stripped down model of the Aeron chair, though it is selling for the price of the 'normal' full featured model. I cannot do anything to fix this now, but I'm stuck with a chair with no features of the real Aeron at all and paid through the teeth for what would have been the fully featured version from almost any other source. Lesson learned in my haste. This model only has two adjustments, up/down and tension on the spring, it is far from optimal. I was simply unaware they even sold a model of "Aeron" with no features at all. I'm a very tall guy and this model with the arms set for a 5'1" person is utterly useless. This chair has less lumbar support than some of the cheap Costco chairs I have around here, the adjustable lumbar evidently is an added 'option' . Yes, my own fault, but don't buy this chair, priced as the 'real' Aeron and expect it, just a warning.
