Good for making your own XLR runs
I had recently got some XLR connectors off eBay that were decent quality and I wanted to try them out. I used to have a lot more sound equipment for my video production stuff, but it was all stolen several years back. I'm now finally rebuilding my kit from scratch and I knew I needed some XLR cables. I don't have the money right now to buy Mogami quality cables. I need to get the most bang for my buck with the few funds I have. I ordered a 100ft ft spool of this cable, cut it in half, and soldered the XLR connectors on the ends of this cable. I tried it out with my Zoom F3 recorder and Rode NTG-2 shotgun, using phantom power, and it sounded great. Indistinguishable from the HOSA 15ft XLR cable I bought for $25. No noise, no interference. So for the cost of about $17 per cable (including the connectors), I have two 50ft XLR's. You can't buy mid-quality XLR's that cheap. For video/film use, the cable is maybe a tad thicker than I'm used to for my own gear, but I've seen/used much thicker XLR and 1/4" cables in my career. It wraps up nicely over/under style for storing, the jacket on it feels good (not too rubbery or too plastic-y), and it was easy to work with while soldering. The outer jacket and inner insulation cut easily with a razor-boxcutter, I didn't even need to use dedicated wire strippers. Both the sheathing and the tinned wire cores took solder well without any extra flux. It DOES have the foil shielding along with the copper braid, but it doesn't seem to affect the cable's flexibility and probably allows for better interference protection without having to have such a dense copper braid. I would definitely buy this again to make more cables with. I bought a 50ft spool of another brand with similar specs, so I'll see how that cable compares to this one when I make my 25ft and shorty cables. For comparison, the 100ft length of THAT cable is $45, and this one is only $33. If you specifically want cable to use for external cable on a boom pole or another situation where you'd be holding the weight of the cable with your arms for a long time, I would maybe recommend something thinner and lighter weight. But all in all, it's quite decent for most uses. Since I only made 50ft runs, I'm can't speak to how this cable would do for a 100ft run. But to me, if you're gonna be making 100ft runs of cable, why not buy a product that comes in 300ft or more per spool? Food for thought.

Works as advised
Im no audio pro, but the cable is very nice!

Perfect for light duty use.
For the price not bad...wire jackets seem to have a lower melting point than some other cables I have used but overall you can't beat the price. Foil shielding is a nice added bonus.

Surprisingly high quality!
This was excellent cable -- I'm impressed with the quality, and it's worth every penny. The braided copper shield is clean and well formed, and I had no trouble un-braiding it and twisting it into a wire (no broken strands, tangling, etc.). The hot/cold conductors are a respectably heavy gauge with good insulation that was easy to strip. Both the braid and the conductors were very easy to solder. I expect the cables I make with this to last a very long, long time.

Reasonably priced in fast delivery.
This is good quality microphone cable. It is easy to work with and putting connectots on it is a breeze.

Nice quality cable at a fair price
Nice cable for the price! The bare stranded wire inside the cable is about 20 gauge (from memory, or ~0.65MM) plus insulation, the two wires and shielding are quality and do what they claim on the tin. For this price it’s amazing to get cables that are actually non-ferrous and stranded copper. It also contains a cotton buffer material inside the cable for additional protection and static abatement. I use a lot of this bulk microphone cable in balanced audio cables, internal amplifier wiring, even small AM and shortwave loop antennas. Very nice quality at a silly low price. Buy 300’ if you need it or buy 300’ and a bunch of audio connectors and start a business selling quality cables. I’m not saying that is what I am doing but I am not saying I am not, either ;). I also use this is nearly all of my amplifier builds and retro-mods or full restorations (when period accuracy is not required). A solid recommendation from someone that uses a lot of bulk cables. It’s NOT Mogami-level microphone or instrument cable but it’s also 1/4th the price. The price to performance ratio is very high provided you keep the cable runs at about 25’ or less per run. For longer runs you can double up the cable (in a bind, not ideal for many technical and engineering reasons) or better still, buy Mogami microphone or instrument cable at $1.25/ft. or more and not give it a second thought.
