You are not aware that this hot knife has no means to prevent overheating, until you read it in the instruction flyer. I bought it to cut 1/8 inch foam that my rubber stamps are mounted to. At first it seemed fine, but the longer I used it instead of cutting the foam, the foam just started melting and sticking to the blade. In the instruction manual it suggests that you unplug it, let it cool a bit, then plug it back in. This is not feasible because you don't have any idea how hot to let the knife get before trying to use it again. I will look for a similar item that has a temperature regulator to prevent overheating.

The circuitry inside fried within 45min of its first use, aka cheap AF. I want my money back.

Item did not work. Opened box, set up the tool and plugged in. Did not work or heat up and now it’s costing my business money as I have to order a new one and wait for shipping times again. Poor product and service.
