Does this taste substantially different from the Furikake without fish? Thanks!

Its rather fishy and smells extremely fishy. So if you arent a big fan of fishy taste then i wouldnt recomend it.

Does this food product have lead in it?

It tastes good. If you worry about lead in your food look at the ingredients.

How long is this good after opening? Kept in fridge.

Several months when kept in a room temperature cupboard. I never tried keeping it in the fridge. It’s basically freeze dried, so you mainly should protect from moisture.

Real salmon? I noticed it is made in China not Japan, and I don't trust Chinese products.

Ha! I am the same way about Chinese products. I eat a LOT of sushi and fish particularly good salmon. I've purchased this brand before in a couple Chinese food markets and specialty stores.This is real salmon by my taste that's been freeze dried that's why the smaller chunks dissolve so quickly on your tongue (rehydration). I agree with the previous reviewer that there are "salmon" flavored bits but there are definitely a lot of visible flakes that look like fish meat. I tasted a large chunk again after you asked just to make sure. I mainly use with rice and seaweed wraps but sometimes add to the top of my morning poached egg and it just adds a good flavor and color. Compared to other brands of Furikake I haven't noticed any difference.Ingredients: salmon, sesame seed, seaweed, sugar, saltI'd say you're good to go with this one. I have pretty bad IBS and this is one of the rare foods that actually never bothers my stomach.

The quality of this seasoning is awesome. The size of the bottle is good for what you pay. The freshness of the product is good. It is not stale or stinky by any means. You get your value for your money. This season is versatile its mainly for rice but you can add it to anything you want really. The texture is a little crunchy but once mixed it you cannot tell.
