Quality player, bargain price.
I found this to be a great little player. The Bluetooth connected flawlessly, and worked for quite some distance (20-30 feet or more) even around obstructions, with no drop out. The sound quality is decent, and there are 6 preset and one customizable equalizer settings for your personal preferences. I have over 900 songs in my player and I still have room for more (of the 8GB available), but you can add up to 64GB. Not sure I'd want to do this, as the search feature is a bit slow, even with only 900 songs. It is extremely small, you hardly notice it, and it is very durable and robust. I've dropped it several times, and being so small and well built, it just keeps on playing. The silicone case is a nice extra, it helps protect it. However, it is annoying that they didn't include a opening for charging, as you need to take the case off every time you need to charge it. All in all I found it to be an excellent value for the money. If you are looking for a player that will deliver decent sound quality, in a super small sized reliable player, with a generous storage capacity (that is expandable), and with relatively easy to navigation commands that won't break the budget, this will fill the bill. On the other hand, if you are looking for flawless sound reproduction, endless features and apps (that you probably won't use anyway), infinite storage capacity, look elsewhere, this ain't it.

Good little player with a few small issues, after all it is priced on the low end.
Bought this little player for a friend who wanted to take it on fishing trips in Alaska. His daughter bought him a Blue tooth speaker for Christmas and he wanted to stream music to it. I found it pretty easy to work with, I just plugged it into my Mac and copied Mp3 files into it. It has a limited amount of buttons and as noted by previous reviewers the buttons sometimes make a clicking noise that does not sound promising. Having said that they do work and it is worth noting that the device is much smaller physically than I had anticipated (not much bigger than a gummed eraser). In my opinion the sound quality is reasonable to good after all we are dealing with Mp3. Probably not the best question for these old ears, having said that it will depend a lot on the device you are streaming to. I could have been more generous with the stars however there are a few issues worth noting. Probably the biggest issue was the fact that I was not able to Pair this device with a Blue Tooth Speaker that I had. Thinking that the device may have been defective I elected to try another device and it Paired up. The miniature instruction booklet that comes with the device does not, in my opinion, do a very good job of explaining that task. It may be a matter of Blue Tooth compatibility since there are a number of different versions. Sometimes getting through the menu settings from one function to another is a bit annoying and troublesome since it is not particularly intuitive. When I wanted to play music I found that I had to toggle down to the next selection before it would begin to play (what is up with that?). It does have a FM Radio that does work and you can save preset stations. I found it to be lacking in sensitivity however ,in all fairness, I did not have the headphones plugged in and these devices sometimes utilize them as an antenna. As far as the range goes this little guy will never set any records for Blue Tooth transmission. I found that it worked reliably well out to a range of about 15 to 20 feet line of sight. At this point it is way to early to address battery life and durability however if anything comes up I will amend this review. It does charge through a USB cable that is supplied with it. Not a bad little device considering the price point and the fact that it is a very compact. It comes with a little latex case ,a clip and ear buds.

Audiobooks Only
As an audiobook lover I’ve bought 4 clip on versions of the AGPTEK MP3 Players and 1 of their Nano look a likes in the past month searching for a replacement for my aging Sansa Clip+. They all had their pros (Bluetooth ability) and cons (learning curve). The two that best suit my audiobook listening purposes have independent volume buttons and a dedicated sliding On/Off button. The A26TB has a smaller screen with less detail but much better navigation in Bluetooth and a useable silicone cover while the G05S has a bigger screen with more detail but only Play/Pause ability using Bluetooth and a silicone cap that covers the entire front. I like the sliding on/off buttons because when the player is On I can easily play and pause my book as I listen using the center Play/Pause button. And if I want to set up Auto Resume for later listening all I do is press the center Play/Pause button until a 1 2 3 counter appears – when it hits 3 let off and the unit will shut down but not off. Now pressing the center Play/Pause button (twice if the screen is off - three times if the player is asleep) will restart your book at the same place. If after the player shuts down you slide the control to Off to save power until you’re ready to listen again when you slide it back to On it will restart at the place you paused. There are also 10 dedicated bookmarks available (reminiscent of my old Creative Zen) per MP3 audiobook file. If you want to switch between different audiobooks (or books and music) you’ll need the bookmarking ability. To bookmark the position you want to return to press Menu (the top button with the lines on it) while your audiobook is open, scroll to Bookmarks, Click on Add bookmark, then scroll to one of the numbered spots for each book (or chapter) and press the middle button to add the bookmark to the number chosen; it fills in the hh:mm:ss / Hour:Minutes:Seconds of you current position in the audiobook. Then you'll be taken back to Now Playing. To return to a bookmark open your audiobook, press Menu, scroll to Bookmarks and choose Go To Bookmark this time, then choose the bookmarked time you want to return to. If your audiobook has multiple files or chapters you have to be in the file/chapter you set the bookmark in to see them. Speaking of file order … Track order tags are not read by these players. If the filename does not have a number at the beginning (01, 02, 03, etc.), track order will default to alphabetical order which can make your audiobook listening a disaster – so make sure to number your files or better yet join them all together into one long audiobook file for ease of playing and bookmarking. The Pros compared to the Sansa Clip+ are better/louder volume, Bluetooth, Play by Folder and the drill down folder ability ie: Audiobook folder inside of which I put Individual Author Folders inside of which I put Series Folders inside of which I put each Title in a series. To wrap it up on the audiobook front none of the AGPTEK players are as intuitive or easy to use as the Sansa Clip+ but with a little effort learning to navigate the menu they offer everything an audiobook listener could want IMO. Just use trial and error (pushing all the options multiple times to see what happens) until you become fluid with the system. The only question left for my new AGPTEK players is their longevity but at under $30.00 I don’t feel I’m risking much with these slick little players. In case the AGPTEK developers are curious (and want to emulate!) why so many consider the Sansa Clip+ the ultimate audiobook player here are the basic reasons. There is a default Audiobook folder that #1 keeps any file placed within it out of the Music shuffle. And #2 (most importantly) the Audiobook folder automatically provides auto resume to every audiobook placed within the folder. Actually any file (audiobook, podcast or music) placed within the Audiobook folder will auto resume where it left off … every time you click on a book/file you’ve previously listened to within the Audiobook folder you are given 2 options: “Resume” or “Start from Beginning” – so easy! #3 is the Sansa Clip+s compatibility with Audible DRM books - but that IMO is an Audible/Amazon issue in thinking everyone wants to listen to audiobooks on a phone or tablet thus not keeping up/providing the ability for the new generation of dedicated MP3 players to play their DRM books. Again IMO … not being compatible with the new MP3 players is shortsighted on Audible/Amazons part as it encourages development of the various software now available to convert Audible books to MP3 files so they can be listened to on these new players.

The Bluetooth does not work on AGPTEK
I purchased this product along with a Sandisk Sansa because this product promised to enable listening to books without the cables. I spent hours yesterday trying to get it to connect using blue tooth to three different bluetooth devices, including two headphones. No luck, the device will pair but fails to connect. I have connected my previous blue tooth devices to other products, so they work. That is the most serious problem but not the only one. It does not seem to be able to recognize audio books and play them in the proper order. I suppose I could set up playlists but I don't have to do that with Sandisk Sansa devices. In addition, the user interface is very complex -- once you start a book, it is hard getting back to any other menu. One good thing is the sound quality when I listened using cables to one of the headphones to which it would not connect. It is useless to me, so I need to look into returning it. I guess I'll have to wait for Sandisk to include bluetooth with their product. The Sandisk product works fine but it doesn't advertise wireless.

really tiny
mp3 player is tiny but works well. screen is small as well but the bright lettering is not that hard to see. I've had some issues with bluetooth connection while player is in a pocket such as lightweight coat while riding bike. cuts in and out a little bit which is annoying but clipped to coat or pocket or out in the open no issues. I have had this brand already so I am used to navigating the menus.Sounds good and can shuffle in bluetooth mode which is nice, I only use folder view for music. Cannot comment on battery life yet but seems to last about 6 hours in bluetooth mode. Nice little player that is easy to carry around in summer. Worth the purchase and would buy again. I like actual buttons to press instead of touch panel. Easier to hit button without having to look directly at it.

Using the Folder view with no music management, the A26TB is working well enough for me.
I have two AGPTek players, the A26TB and the GO5S. This review targets the A26TB, but probably applies to all of the numerous and different AGPTek devices in this category. The A26TB and GO5S are basically the same size, offer the same features and they use a similar underlying navigation and menu system. I'm guessing all current AGPTek devices are essentially the same and this review could apply equally to all of them. The problems and capabilities described below were the same for both devices. If you can figure out how to make them work for you, the AGPTek devices can be great. The current marketplace is flooded with half-baked bluetooth players that no one loves and its impossible to find a sub $100 player that is a completed fully-functioning product. AGPTek is no exception, but I've found the way to make it work for me and so, for me, its a great device, light as a feather with sound quality that is "good" and much better than the Sansa Clip+. When you start the device and select "Music", you may then select "Artists", "Albums" or "Genres". Though my music is carefully tagged and organized in folders, these "Music" categories yield lists of long and completely disorganized music files impractical to navigate. When I connected the device to bluetooth headphones, mp3 files would only play in one ear but flac files would play clearly in both ears. I tried various encoding and conversion strategies and could not get mp3 files to play in both ears. I also tried aac format and could never hear any sound from the aac files. Maybe the firmware needs to be updated? I found firmware downloads on AGPTek's web site and only the GO5S firmware had been updated with two un-important changes after a year from the previous firmware release "long press the return button 2S to back to the home menu" and "Add the function of playing FM Radio in the background". I don't believe AGPTek are earnestly developing firmware updates for these devices. A notable short-coming of AGPTek's firmware is that they are published as .exe files that must executed through a Windows operating system. I tried using the "playlists" feature to show organized lists of my music files, but "no files found". Through trial and error I found two things were needed to make playists usable for the A26TB. First, I needed to add windows-specific line endings to the playist files, using a utility called "unix2dos". Second, I needed to list each music file with a windows-style path that included the folder name, for example "music.flac" needed to be "folder\music.flac", even though playists and music files share the same folder. After playlists were working I encountered more issues. When the device first reads a playlist, the last file in the playlist isn't listed by the A26TB. I tried adding white-space to the playlist and succeeded in getting the full playlist to appear, but from this point selecting flac files from the playlist would only show "format not supported" or something like that. I repeated this behaviour with other folders and playlists and would always see "format not supported" when trying to play flac files. Music selected from the playlist would not play, but music selected from outside the playlist would play. A decent work-around for these issues is to use the "Folder view" from the main menu. The Folder view lists folder contents in a logical alphabetical way and flac files selected there are playable :). Using the Folder view with no music management features, the A26TB is working well enough for me. I wish AGPTek would finish the software for these devices. The hardware gives a great sound in a small size with nice buttons and a cool looking screen. The software falls short and prevents these devices from reaching their full amazing potential.

A Great Product at a Great Price
I have had no bad experiences with this AGPTEK media device. The FM radio works perfectly. I ripped many of my music CDs into FLAC lossless format and put the digital files on the device, and the sound quality is excellent. The user interface is sometimes clunky, but there are only six buttons on the device, so I'm fine with it. I've used this this AGPTEK media device for at least a hundred hours while running or working in the yard. The battery life remains good after dozens of charges. I would buy a replacement without hesitation if this device stopped working for any reason.

Awesome little device
I'm a runner and was looking for an MP3 player to carry with my while running so I didn't have to lug around my phone. This thing works perfectly! Everything works as expected and is almost too good to be true for the cost. It has great connectivity to my Bluetooth headphones, I only get dropouts when I completely cover the device with my hand, but as soon as I move my hand it instantly regains connection. Audio quality seems to be the same as my phone and gets plenty loud. I do have a few negatives, but they are easy to work around and minor, especially for such a cheap device. 1 - You need to manually re-connect your Bluetooth device every-time you turn the unit on (It won't auto connect) 2 - While the unit has a shuffle feature, you have to pick a song to start the music, naturally it's sorted by name, so I just start with a song on the top of my playlist and hit skip to get something random. Otherwise the randomness seems random enough:) 3 - It seems to have a sleep mode while in use. I seem to have to push the volume or track change button 2x to get it to respond, but once it's awake, it works with a single click as you'd expect. Overall this thing is awesome!

Good sound and small size
I bought this for my mother to listen to ebooks whilst exercising. The sound quality is good and it’s easy to use. I would prefer to be able to recharge the player without removing the silicone cover

Great except for Bluetooth options
I love the small size and that it isn't too hard to navigate after a while. I like how simple it is to add songs. What I found is a bummer is that it won't connect to players with a radio? I couldn't get it to connect to headphones or music player via bluetooth. I did manage to get it to connect to a Miniso speaker. But the sound can be affected on windy days and you can't go too far from it. But overall pleased with this purchase. I actually bought it for the Bluetooth so was initially disappointed but after several uses, I am okay with it :)

Excelente reproductor

+ Sencillo (Plástico/No llamativo).
