Could I use this to embalm my pet hamster?

This is for wet specimens. You would have to inject into hamster then jar your hamster in it for at least a week or two.. your best bet is cremation because formalin is a cancer causing chemical if not used properly with the right protective gear an well ventilated area can harm you

What is the difference between formaldehyde and this product?

Formalin is only 4% formaldehyde. It's used for preserving biological specimens. Formaldehyde has industrial uses as well as preserving tissue. You should still use a respirator when using formalin.

Is this ready for preserving w/ no dilution? Is this best for only injecting, or should I also float the specimen in it?

I’ve injected my specimens first and then will soak for weeks/months depending on size of the wet.

Use this in a jar that I put a fish head in. Fish head is still preserved product works and it's been at least 7 months.

Does the job

Did what it was supposed to do. I got several small specimens done with two soaks and injections with this bottle (much more than pictured). It was clearly labeled. When it arrived I felt like the packaging was minimal for such a hazardous product, but there were no leaks. The bottle is nice and thick, so it doesn't feel flimsy, which is important when having hazardous products at home. I used the original bottle to dispose of the used soaks and my waste plant took it without issue.
