Works great for monitoring my system
Ran out of VE.Direct plugs on my Cerbo GX so I decided to get this to be able to monitor my smart shunt using the usb port. It was very easy to install and is plug and play. I am very happy with Victron quality and durability. Functionally is great as I can check on my solar system and adjust as necessary from the app on my phone.

Works as needed. Use for connection to laptop and Raspberry PI. Could not afford the full Victron System so these came in handy.

Turns Victron USB ports into Victron direct ports when you don’t have any left
This works great my Victron Cerbo GX was out of Victron direct ports. I used them all up with charge controllers for portable solar panels. I wanted to add one more and this was the ticket. This cable turns unused USB ports into Victron direct ports. Problem solved.

Works as advertised-positive endorsement
Works as advertised. Connecting a Victron MPPT 140/35 to a raspberry pi 3 for monitoring my solar panel charging. Will be ordering more! Cable could be longer though

Does what it’s supposed to do
I do not have a hub to allow me to monitor my Victron products when away from home. This cable works good with a Raspberry Pi and the VenusOS to allow remote monitoring. Wish it was a bit longer but not that big of a deal.

Works for my application
Personally Victron Energy products have worked fine, but many of the add-ons like the VE.direct to USB or VE.direct to VE.direct cables seem too expensive. But being corporate using proprietary they will charge you more until someone comes up with another option. I have sense learned to go with the VE.direct smart blue tooth dongle since its about the same price and way more versatile. I have ten mppt controllers as I leverage the BT to create a network to charge the battery banks.

There was no indication of the length of this cable. I was hoping for longer but it is only about 2 metres. I will need to get a usb extension but that’s fine. It works perfectly for my Orion XS.
