As a kindle for reading purchased text, it is just great. As a tablet for taking notes, it is less than great. The AI (LLM) to refine handwritten material does C-minus work, and the process to convert handwritten to text is to send the handwritten version to your email. But the conversion to text is so riddled with errors that the time spent sending and then opening your email application is not worth the effort. I bought to take class notes, but paper and pencil are simpler. Various virtual pencils, pens, etc., have a nice feel and control over thickness; however, this is not a drawing pad for artists. I would return if I hadn't waited beyond the return date. I believe Amazon will refine this product, and subsequent iterations may work better. My advice is to wait or search for an alternative to the Kindle Scribe.
