Massive issue with this PC. Basically right out of the box you would assume this is going to be good if not better than the average laptop or desktop based on supposed performance description. It is not. Almost immediately you realize that your mouse movements are slow, and everything you try to do is buggy and slow. I had to within 24 hrs add an additional 16gb of ram just to make the mini-pc usable for running even basic windows functions. I had bought this so I could run AI related algorithms and experiment outside of my laptop but man for the money it doesn't feel worth it at all. Before I added additional ram i noticed through the BIOS that it was utilizing almost 16gb right out the box which is insane?? So buyer be were.

This machine performs, but the fan is noisy, and even with the BIOS settings at medium usage and my Windows power settings set to 99% CPU- its noisy and I am very disappointed, and will return.

So in the Amazon description it was stated that the fan is quiet... nothing could be further from the truth! This device is lightning fast but the fan is a screamer! It is loud and high pitched! Far far louder than any of their IT series devices...

Questo doveroso aggiornamento della mia rrcensione è molto tardivo rispetto al primo in quanto il secondo Pc è arrivato solo dopo oltre 23 giorni dal primo ordine a causa di disguidi postali. Le impressioni sono le medesime rispetto alla prima apertura. All'accensione ho avuto un po' di apprensione ma tutto si è svolto perfettamente. Il PC si è subito avviato iniziando il processo di installazione di Windows 11. Piuttosto lunga la fase di ricerca ed installazione degli aggiornamenti ma alla fine tutto è andato come previsto e la macchina è stata impeccabile. Sono molto colpito dalla silenziosità complessiva (nulla a che vedere con molte recensioni che se ne lamentano). La velocità non l'ho ancora apprezzata ma la reattività pare molto buona. La scheda video è all'altezza delle mia esigenze (elaborazioni 3d e modellazione nonché montaggio video, anche di tipo 3d in 5,7k). Il confronto con il mio vecchio PC è disarmante rispetto a dimensioni e rumorosità. Unico rammarico è che non sia installabile qualche altra ssd per mancanza di porte interne. Ma gli hd esterni sono comunque velocissimi con le performanti e numerose porte a disposizione (una delle quali, la usb 2, costantemente occupata dalla chiavetta per il collegamento di tastiera e mouse). Ma devo, in partixolare, fare riferimento all'eccezionale servizio di supporto Geekom, al quale vanno tutti i miei ringraziamenti e i miei complimenti, che ha seguito con sollecitudine e solerzia tutte le fasi successive al reso ed alla travagliata spedizione del secondo dispositivo. Pertanto, concludendo, consiglio calorosamente e senza remore l'acquisto di prodotti a marchio Geekom e, puntualmente, posso dire che per il modello A8 l'esperienza non può che considwrarsi veramente molto buona. PRIMA RECENSIONE Ahimé, molto deluso. Ho acquistato il GEEKOM A8 per le dimensioni e per le specifiche elevate, AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, 32 GB di RAM DDR5 e l'SSD da 2 TB. Voglio affiancare il mini PC ad una workstation con w10 che diventerà server di storage. Purtroppo dopo una consegna perfetta in un sol giorno, e la scoperta di un imballaggio e confezionamento perfetti, la delusione è stata grandissima nel constatare il totale malfunzionamento del computer che non si è mai avviato nonostante i tentativi esperiti anche con l'ausilio della cortese chat di Geekom. Mi è stato subito indicato che verrà disposta la sostituzione dell'oggetto da parte di Amazon, ma resto senza pc e con un senso di amaro e dubbio commisti. Spero grandemente di poter modificare questa recensione (la prima che effettuo, di tipo negativo, nel corso degli anni con gli acquisti su Amazon). Un vero peccato!! Spero che le prestazioni, senza dubbio eccellenti sulla carta, si mostrino al meglio su un dispositivo funzionante. Per ora, solo con il PC acceso ma senza alcuna funzionalità attive e schermo nero, ho scoperto che la ventola gira pianissimo; l'estetica è molto accattivante, il "mattoncino" è ben assemblato, i materiali sono di qualità, la confezione, bella, è minimal, la dotazione, come da descrizione, completa e visibilmente gradevole. Attendo con ansia la sostituzione per valutare realmente il prodotto e non solo la pur gentile e pronta assistenza via chat.

Der Rechner ist sehr gut und besitzt ordentlich Kraft. Da ich keine extremen neuen Spiele habe kann ich nicht sagen ob er spieletauglich ist. Ich lasse auf Windows 11 nur meine alten Lieblingsspiele Laufen. Eurotrucksimulator 2 läuft flüssig ohne das man die Lüfter überhaupt hört. Unter Linux hört man sowieso nichts. der größte Nachteil geht aber von AMD aus, die nicht in der Lage sind vernünftige Linux Treiber bereit zu stellen. Der PC wäre ohne weiteres für lokale KI Anwendungen geeignet, aber Linux kann nur die CPU dafür bereitstellen, weil GPU und NPU für die meisten KI Anwendungen nicht berücksichtigt werden. Schande für AMD. Außerdem sind die Lüfter von Werk aus miserabel eingestellt und würden den Rechner vermutlich nach geringer Einsatzzeit schrotten. Wenn man wie ich 2 Partitonen ( Windows 11 Linux Mint 22 ) hat, dann erscheint auch das Bios Menü, so das man es leicht erreicht. Man sollte einiges verändern. Das Menü ist rudimentär, aber alles wichtige enthält es. Da der Rechner sehr leise ist hört man das sirenenartige Aufheulen des Lüfters nicht. Aber das killt jeden Lüfter im Laufe der Zeit. Darum ändert die Einstellungen manuell. Lasst den Lüfter immer laufen und beschleunigt ihn sanft. Dann jault er nicht und wird auch nicht heiß bei Belastungen. Weiterhin könnt ihr den Rechner so einstellen, das die USB Anschlüsse beim herunterfahren des Rechners keinen Strom mehr liefern. Dann wird auch die USB Festplatte ruhig. Als nächstes solltet ihr im Bios euren Rechner 8 GB Speicher für die Grafikkarte zuweisen. Dann könnt ihr auch sehr hohe Auflösungen genießen, und der Rechner arbeitet oft flüssiger. Wichtig auch bei Videokonvertierungen. Das Linux Sicherungsprogramm Redo Rescue bietet euch die Möglichkeit an das komplette Betriebssystem ( beide Partitionen ) zu sichern, und es funktioniert sehr gut. Wer mehrere Monate zwei Betriebssystem ( Windows 11 + Linux Mint ) eingerichtet hat weiß das sicher zu schätzen. Noch ein Tipp wie ihr mit eurem AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS noch mehr Spaß habt. Gönnt euch eine schnelle 2 TB SSD die ihr an eurem schnellen hinteren Anschluss anschließt. Als Linux Nutzer könnt ihr FreeFileSync verwenden und mit "Spiegeln" auch nach einem Monat in sekundenschnelle eure Daten aktuell halten. Es werden Gigabytes geschaufelt das euch schwindelig wird. Übrigens hat euer schönes Gerät auch einen Speicherkarten Anschluss. Der soll angeblich 4 TB zulassen. Ich hatte im Sommer eine schnelle Speicherkarte gekauft. SanDisk Extreme PRO hat 1 TB und war für knapp 100 Euro zu haben. Achtet aber auf die Geschwindigkeit, sonst habt ihr da keinen Spass. Das Ding ist etwa so schnell wie eine normale Festplatte. Dies nutze ich für Video und Bildbearbeitungen. Zusammenfassend : Ein guter schneller und leiser Rechner, wenn er richtig eingestellt wird. Lüftereinstellungen, USB Stromversorgung abschalten, und Grafikkartenzuweisung von 8 GB. Wie das genau geht, da fragt eure KI. Z.B. die Google Such KI . Den Spass versaut einem aber gehörig AMD zumindest unter Linux. Dafür minus fünf Sterne. Ich habe den Rechner jetzt ungefähr ein halbes Jahr. Wenn der weiterhin so gut läuft, dann hat er fünf Sterne verdient. Aber er ist kein High End Gaming PC, Dafür aber kaum zu sehen und zu hören.
