Dreo 40“ Evaporative Air Cooler, 35dB Silent Cooling Fan that Blow Cold Air, 80° Oscillating Bladeless Tower Fan for Bedroom, Removable Water Tank, Ice Packs, Remote Control, 4 Speed, 7H Timer, White

I purchased this Air Cooler on the 11th May. Arrived in perfect condition the next day. Followed the very clear and simple instructions provided within the box which took 5-10 mins max to get it set up. Initially was very sceptical about how effective this Air cooler would be however I am very overwhelmed at how good it is. The item comes with 2 Ice packs which need freezing on arrival and a detachable section to insert water if wanted. The Air cooler works well without using the water system just like a typical fan would but you would be greatly surprised at how good the ice cold water helps the Air cooler blow chilly air around the room. I’ve since bought further Ice packs and now run the Air cooler with 4 ice packs at a time with another 4 in the freezer so I can swap and change without delay. A typical fan will blow ambient temperature air in your direction giving you a feeling that you’re cooling down however if you sit in front of this for a few minutes with it running on max fan speed + ice water it gets very chilly!! Yes it’s not going to be anywhere near a fully installed AC Unit but for the UK that’s perhaps a bit over the top in my opinion. I use this item in a relatively small room 13m x 9m and after approx 1-2 hours there is a good noticeable difference in temperature compared to other rooms in the house. Sort of feels like walking into a small chiller room if you’ve ever experienced that. No more sweaty nights and it’s really quiet on Sleep mode so doesn’t keep you awake if you’re a light sleeper. Have used previous Dreo Heaters in the past so I know the brand can deliver good products and this is another great example. Very pleased.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I had an older Dreo tower fan which was great, came with an app so you could also control it from your phone. It's still going well but with the recent heat we wanted something that was going to cool the room more. Air cooling: It's a good size, having had Dreo before we love the make and build. Sadly no option to connect to the app which we thought it would being a newer fan. It's definitely quiet running, level 1 you can hardly hear, or level 2 you can easily sleep though just the white noise. As a normal fan lovely, 4 speed settings, 2 modes, again not as many as our older and cheaper Dreo fan. Did it cool anymore mmm maybe a little, don't get my wrong you can notice the difference on your skin if your sitting closer to it but don't expect it to cool a room. We used it in the bedroom but when using the cooling feature you need ventilation. You can use any ice packs and we used chilled water in it. It's easy to change the water and ice packs. Overall a nice fan but for the money if your looking to really reduce the temperature in a room you might be better looking for an AC.

This fan is big, it's powerful and fairly quiet for it's size and airflow. It came in really handy in the recent heatwave sending cool air across the living room. I haven't used it with the water tank yet as the humidity level was fairly high when I needed the fan and I didn't want to add to it as there was no outside breeze to take away the humidity. However , the fan on its own was good enough and we were glad of it. Using it as we have, without water or ice, it's probably expensive for a fan, but with the added fuction of the water tank with ice adding to the cooling , it probably is worth it.

Very pleased with this. Easy to setup. Good design. Excellent air flow and cooling. Very quiet on lowest setting. Quite pricey but good value for money. The remote control makes it very convenient to use. It is quite tall and heavy when the water tank is filled but it’s worth it for the performance.

Really good and personally I think worth the money, it can chill a medium size room easily and the wind speed when high, can be felt from the adjoining room, with the ice pack inserted you can feel the change.

Great tower fan with the added benefit of evaporative cooling. Pros - lightweight and energy efficient looks good (in black) moves a lot of air Cons - only drops the air temperature by 2-3C cooling pads are a little small are made of a fibre/cardboard type material not metal therefore hard to clean the fan can get a musty smell which can be fixed by using chlorine tablets Major design flaw - in order to remove the tank, you have to disconnect the pump from the bottom. Conversely, when the tank is refilled, you have to reseat the pump at the bottom of the tank which involves submerging your arm in ice cold water.?!? This can be avoided by filling with a large watering can type jug

Bigger than what l thought

This Dreo Air Cooler has been a great device in these hot spells, and we can not fault it, you get what you pay for, genuinely quiet, we tried several but sent them back when they proved too noisy for the bedroom, only point being we would like to see a slower and smoother Rotate, a good tip is that after time and use the Air exiting the Cooler can be come slightly stale, a shot of Anti Bac Spray into the Water Tank fixes the issue, air is noticeably fresh again, we also do not withdraw the Tank fully from the Cooler for filling, we use a 1 litre Plastic Pourer Cup to top up.

Très satisfait de mon achat, ca ne rafraichi pas autant qu'une climatisation, mais ca donne un courant d'air plus frais qu'un ventilateur classique, il est très silencieux. J'en ai recommander un 2èm pour ma mère.

Bad design, does not cool, not easy to clean. The tank has wire in it and its unsafe. Avoid at all cost

Für den Sommer unsere Rettung. Tut was er soll, Preis Leistung ist vollkommen ausreichend. Die Lautstärke ist ebenfalls akzeptabel. Wir würden ihn jederzeit wieder wählen.

Todavía no llevo ni una semana con él, pero se ve bastante bueno en general. Fresco, silencioso y cómodo. Es bastante fácil de usar y llenar de agua, pero si quitas el enganche de la bomba (para poder llenarlo) se complica volverlo a colocar de nuevo, estando lleno de agua (porque con el agua cuesta ver donde engancharlo). Aún así 5 estrellas.
